00:00July 10th, The Precious Blood, The Bridge to the Father's Heart

00:04The Precious Blood of Jesus is the bridge between a fallen world and a holy God.

00:11Because of sin, humanity was separated from the Father by a chasm no effort or goodness could cross.

00:19But in His mercy, God sent His Son, not to build a bridge with wood or stone, but with His own body and blood.

00:28On the cross, Jesus laid Himself down so that sinners might walk back to the Father on the path of redemption.

00:37This bridge is not abstract. It is personal.

00:42The blood that flowed from Christ's side opened a way home for you.

00:46It tore the veil of the temple. It broke down every barrier of fear and shame.

00:52It made it possible for a sinner to call God Abba, Father.

00:56Through His blood, we do not stand at a distance. We are welcomed into the very heart of God.

01:03We must never forget the cost of this bridge.

01:06It was not built with gold, but with pain, love, and self-emptying.

01:12Each time we approach the altar or whisper a prayer, it is because the blood of Jesus made access possible.

01:18We can live in intimacy with God, not because we are good, but because He gave everything.

01:26The blood speaks for us when we have no words.

01:29It covers us when we are ashamed.

01:31It opens heaven when we feel lost.

01:34Saint Bernard of Clairvaux once wrote that the wounds of Christ

01:38His meditations on the Passion were filled with awe and longing.

01:47He understood that we do not climb to God by effort, but by surrender,

01:52by trusting the blood that flows from the side of love itself.

01:56And when we walk across that bridge, we carry others with us through intercession.

02:01So many are far from the Father, wandering, wounded, or indifferent.

02:09Let us invoke the blood of Jesus for them, that they may find their way home.

02:14Each soul is worth every drop He shed.

02:18Each life is precious to the One who gave His own to save it.

02:22Let us pray.

02:23Jesus, I thank You for laying Yourself down as the bridge to the Father's heart.

02:30I come before You, not with confidence in myself, but in the power of Your precious blood.

02:36Draw me close.

02:38Let me walk in intimacy with the Father, covered in the blood that speaks of mercy.

02:43Through the prayers of Saint Bernard, help me to never grow numb to the price You paid.

02:48And through Your blood, draw home all who have wandered far.

02:53Amen.
