00:00July 13th, The Precious Blood, The Cry of Love in Reparation

00:05The blood of Jesus did not flow only for the salvation of sinners.

00:10It also flowed in reparation for the countless sins committed against the heart of the Father.

00:15Every drop was a cry of love, answering the cry of rebellion.

00:20In his agony, Christ saw not only the sins of his enemies,

00:23but the indifference, blasphemy, and forgetfulness of even those who claimed to love him.

00:30And still he chose to suffer. Still he offered his blood.

00:36This is one of the deepest sorrows of Christ.

00:39That his blood, poured out with such tenderness, is so often ignored.

00:45The world mocks the cross.

00:48Even within the church, there are wounds inflicted by neglect, scandal, pride, and apathy.

00:56But he does not lash out in wrath.

00:58His answer is still the same.

01:02This is my blood, given for you.

01:05When we offer acts of love, sacrifice, and prayer in union with his blood,

01:10we console the heart that continues to bleed.

01:14Reparation is not about guilt, it is about love.

01:17It is the soul responding,

01:21You are not alone, Lord.

01:23When we see the darkness around us, we may feel helpless.

01:27But we can kneel before the crucifix and say,

01:30I offer you this moment of love, united to your precious blood,

01:35for those who do not love you.

01:38These little offerings have power.

01:40Joined to his wounds, they become co-redemptive.

01:44They soothe the heart that was pierced, and continue to repair what sin has broken.

01:51St. Veronica Giuliani, a Capuchin, poor Claire and mystic,

01:56was granted profound experiences of the Passion.

02:00She bore the stigmata, and often received visions of the suffering Christ,

02:05particularly his precious blood.

02:06Her life was a living offering, filled with hidden sufferings she united to the blood of Christ,

02:20for the conversion of sinners and reparation for the world.

02:24She spent her life in a cloister,

02:26but her heart reached across nations through the power of sacrificial love.

02:30We are not all called to cloisters, or to mystical visions,

02:35but we are all called to love.

02:38Even now, in our homes, our jobs, our families,

02:42we can offer moments of silence, sacrifices, or prayers,

02:47covered in the blood of Jesus,

02:49and they will rise like incense before the throne of God.

02:53The blood that cries out for mercy is waiting for our echo.

02:57Let us pray.

02:58Jesus, I adore the blood you shed in reparation for my sins and the sins of the world.

03:05Let me not be numb to this gift.

03:08Teach me to console your heart by uniting my small offerings to your infinite sacrifice.

03:14Through the example of St. Veronica Giuliani,

03:17may I learn to love you quietly, faithfully, and deeply.

03:22I offer you all my joys and sorrows today,

03:25sealed in your precious blood,

03:28for reparation and for love.
