00:00A Prayer for Priests and for More Laborers in the Vineyard

00:04O Lord Jesus, Eternal High Priest,

00:09You who called the Apostles and entrusted them with your mission of salvation,

00:14look with mercy upon your church and raise up holy, faithful priests after your own heart.

00:20In this time of great need, when the harvest is abundant but the laborers are few,

00:25send forth workers into your vineyard, men of courage, purity, and love,

00:30who will preach the truth, administer the sacraments with reverence,

00:34and lead souls back to your merciful embrace.

00:38Strengthen all priests with the fire of your Spirit.

00:42Renew in them the joy of their vocation, the zeal for souls,

00:47and the grace to be shepherds who imitate you, the Good Shepherd,

00:51laying down their lives for the flock.

00:53Protect them from all evil, comfort them in trials,

00:58and inflame their hearts with the love of the Eucharist and of souls.

01:03May they never grow weary of serving,

01:05and may they never lose sight of the eternal reward you have promised to your faithful servants.

01:11And Lord, call many more young men to your altar.

01:14Let them hear your gentle voice saying,

01:17Come, follow me.

01:18Give them the grace to respond with courage,

01:22and the Church the wisdom to guide and form them.

01:25Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Priests,

01:29and St. John Vianney, Patron of Parish Priests,

01:33may your Church be blessed with Holy Shepherds to lead us in truth and love.
