00:00Greetings, friends. Today we celebrate Little Nellie Organ, hosted by, a blessed call to love.
00:08Ellen Organ, affectionately known as Little Nellie of Holy God, was born on August 24, 1903, in Waterford, Ireland, to a devout Catholic family.
00:19From the very beginning of her short life, Nellie showed signs of extraordinary spiritual sensitivity and devotion.
00:26Nellie's early years were filled with trials. Her mother passed away when Nellie was just three, leaving her father to care for her and her siblings.
00:35Due to financial difficulties, Nellie was entrusted to the care of the Sisters of the Good Shepherd, in a convent orphanage in Cork, Ireland.
00:43Nellie's health was fragile. She suffered from tuberculosis and other illnesses that caused her great pain.
00:50Recognizing her exceptional spirituality, the local bishop granted special permission for Nellie to receive her First Holy Communion.
00:59At just four years old, Nellie received Jesus in the Eucharist, with a death of reverence that astonished all who witnessed it.
01:06Little Nellie's life was a witness to the power of childlike faith.
01:09Her example inspired Pope Pius X, who later lowered the age for First Holy Communion from 12 to 7, encouraging children to come to Jesus earlier in their spiritual journey.
01:21Until we meet again, God bless you.
