00:12But behind his priestly smile was a battle, one not many knew about.

00:16St. Josemaria, founder of Opus Dei, lived with type 1 diabetes for nearly a decade.

00:22Every day he carried the burden of a chronic illness,

00:25managing strict diets, painful injections, and the constant threat of complications.

00:30But on April 27, 1954, everything changed.

00:35On the feast of Our Lady of Montserrat,

00:37Josemaria received a new long-acting insulin injection.

00:41Instead of helping him, it almost ended his life.

00:44He collapsed. He couldn't see.

00:47His body went into shock.

00:49And in those moments of near death,

00:52it was said he relived his entire life before his eyes.

00:55But then, the unexpected, the miraculous.

00:58He woke up, not just alive, but completely healed.

01:04His doctor was astonished.

01:05Josemaria never needed insulin again.

01:08No more injections.

01:09No more diets.

01:10It was, as the doctor himself said, scientifically inexplicable.
