00:15He lived a long time ago, around the 7th century, in Ireland.

00:19He was a missionary, which means he traveled to different places to teach people about Christianity.

00:25Kilian was very kind and caring. He wanted to help people who were sick and suffering.

00:32So, he traveled to a place called Würzburg, in what is now Germany.

00:38There, he worked hard to spread the teachings of Jesus and to help the local people.

00:43Legend has it that Kilian had a special gift for healing.

00:47Many people who were sick with different illnesses, including rheumatism, came to him for help.

00:53Kilian prayed for them and showed them kindness, and many of them felt better.

00:59Unfortunately, Kilian faced some challenges, because some powerful people didn't like what he was doing.

01:06Eventually, he was martyred for his beliefs, which means he was killed because of his faith.

01:11But even after his death, people continued to pray to him for help,

01:16especially those suffering from rheumatism, believing he could intercede for them with God.

01:23Over time, Kilian became known as a patron saint for rheumatism because of the stories of healing associated with him.
