00:00July 14th, The Precious Blood, The Life of the Church and the Soul

00:05The Precious Blood of Jesus is not only the price of our redemption, it is the life of the Church.

00:12Just as blood flows through the body to nourish and animate it,

00:16so the blood of Christ sustains every grace, every sacrament, and every soul who lives in Him.

00:23The Church was born from the pierced side of Jesus, and it is His blood that courses through her still,

00:30keeping her alive in holiness, mercy, and truth.

00:35This blood does not lie in the past. It is living and active.

00:40It is the strength of martyrs, the purity of virgins, the courage of confessors, and the endurance of the faithful.

00:47Every sacrament draws its power from the cross.

00:52Baptism washes us in it. The Eucharist feeds us with it. Confession restores us through it.

00:59This is not poetic language. It is the very heart of Catholic life.

01:04Without the blood, the Church would be a structure. With it, She is a living bride.

01:10When we grow weary, dry in prayer, or feel detached from the mystery of grace,

01:15it is the precious blood that revives us.

01:19It is the unseen stream flowing through our acts of love, hidden penance, and quiet fidelity.

01:25To plead the blood is not to look backward.

01:28It is to draw on the living pulse of Christ in the here and now.

01:32He continues to give His very self to us.

01:35He continues to pour His life into ours.

01:38Saint Gaspar del Bufalo, the great apostle of the precious blood,

01:42devoted His entire life to making this mystery known.

01:46He tirelessly preached missions across Italy, calling sinners to repentance and priests to deeper zeal.

01:54His favorite cry was,

01:56There is no greater treasure than the blood of Jesus.

01:58To Him, it was not just a truth.

02:03It was a fire.

02:04He founded the missionaries of the precious blood and helped restore countless lives

02:09by preaching the mercy and power of Christ's blood to the most forgotten souls.

02:15He understood that the Church is strongest when it stands soaked in the blood of her Redeemer.

02:21We are invited into that same vitality.

02:23To pray with the blood is to ask Jesus to circulate His love more deeply through every part of our lives,

02:31our relationships, our struggles, our hidden places.

02:36The more we allow the blood to flow freely in us, the more alive we become to grace.

02:42Let us pray.

02:44Jesus, You are the living source of grace in Your Church.

02:49Let Your precious blood flow through me today, into my thoughts, my words, my actions.

02:56Cleanse what is wounded, revive what is tired, and strengthen what is weak.

03:01Through the intercession of Saint Gaspar del Bufalo,

03:05give me the courage to speak of Your blood, and to live by its power.

03:10May Your blood not only cleanse me, but fill me with divine life.

03:14Amen.
