00:01Hello, it's Martin Dempster, the Scotsman Golf Correspondent here, coming to you from Dundonald, Lynx in Ayrshire, at the end of the Open Final Qualifier.
00:15Fantastic days golf, as always in this event, 36-hole shootout for five spots in the Open, which is being held this year of course at Royal Portrush.
00:26The event returning there, six years after Shane Lowry got his hands on the Claret Jug.
00:33Pride of place here today undoubtedly went to Lee Westwood, the 52-year-old, former World No. 1.
00:43He finished on 7-under par, played two great rounds of golf, very composed.
00:50He had travelled here from Dallas, where he played in a live golf event at the weekend, only got an hour and a half's sleep.
00:59He hadn't played the course before, walked a few holes on Monday night after arriving here.
01:07But boy, did he show the class of a player who, a Ryder Cup legend, multiple winner around the world.
01:18And he's delighted to be returning to the Open for a 28th appearance in the Claret Jug event, having missed the last two.
01:27The other spots, they went to two Scots, what were among the players to secure the other spots.
01:34Perth man Daniel Young, who's been in cracking form on the Hotel Planner Tour over the past couple of weeks,
01:41he maintained that for him to secure a spot on 6-under, along with one of his playing partners,
01:48Angel Hidalgo, the Swede Jesper Sandborg, he got through on 5-under, which left one spot up for grabs.
01:59And that was decided in a play-off between Blair Gowrie amateur, Connor Graham and Paul O'Hara, the Tartan Tour stalwart.
02:08It was Graham who secured that spot with a birdie at the first extra hole, and the 18-year-old has had a great season in the States at US College.
02:21He's going to be playing in a second Walker Cup, no doubt, later this summer.
02:25But before then, he's going to be teeing up in the 153rd Open in Northern Ireland.
