00:00It is the duty of every Muslim that he should do Dawah. Dawah is compulsory for every Muslim.
00:09What is the meaning of the Arabic word Dawah? The Arabic word Dawah means to invite, to call.
00:17And in Islamic context, Dawah of Islam means inviting the non-Muslims towards Islam.
00:23I start my talk by quoting a verse of the glorious Quran from Surah Nahal, chapter number 16, verse number 125, it says
00:32Invite all to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching and argue with them and reason with them in the ways that are best and most gracious.
00:46Here Allah is saying to the Muslims, Invite all to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching and argue with them in the ways that are best and most gracious.
00:57Allah says in the glorious Quran, in Surah Al-Imran, chapter number 3, verse 110, Allah says
01:04O ye Muslims, ye are the best of peoples, evolve for mankind.
01:13Allah is giving us an honor.
01:16He is calling us Muslims as Khaira Ummah, the best of peoples, evolve for mankind.
01:24Allah is giving us an honor.
01:26Whenever there is honor, it is always followers of responsibility.
01:30For example, in a school, a principal has got more honor than a teacher.
01:37A teacher has got more honor than a clerk.
01:40Similarly, in a school, in a school, the principal has got more responsibility than a teacher.
01:48A teacher had got more responsibility than a clerk.
01:51There is no honor without responsibility.
01:53So in this verse of the Quran, in Surah Al-Imran, chapter 3, verse 110,
01:57Allah is calling us Muslims as Khaira Ummah, the best of peoples.
02:02Don't you think we have a responsibility?
02:04The reply is given in the same verse.
02:06Allah continues and says,
02:08Because we enjoy what is good and we forbid what is wrong and we believe in Allah.
02:17Allah is calling us the Khaira Ummah because we Muslims are supposed to enjoy what is good and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah.
02:26If we do not enjoy what is good and if we do not forbid what is wrong, we aren't fit to be called as Khaira Ummah.
02:35We aren't fit to be called as Muslims.
02:37Doing Dawah, conveying the message of Islam to non-Muslim is a fard.
02:41And Allah says in Surah Al-Asr, chapter 103, verse number 1 to 3, it is known as Rahe Nijjad, the path to salvation.
02:50Allah says,
02:51Allah is taking the oath of time.
02:56And he's saying, by the token of time,
02:59Man is verily in a state of loss, in khasara.
03:05Except those who have four criteria, except those who have faith, iman.
03:16Those who have amal-e-saliha, righteous deed.
03:18Those who exhort people to truth that is doing Dawah and Islam.
03:23And those who invite people to patience and perseverance.
03:28So according to Surah Al-Asr, for any human being to go to Jannah,
03:32there are many more four criteria required.
03:34Iman, righteous deed,
03:37وتوا صعب الحق,
03:38inviting people to truth that is Dawah
03:40and inviting people to patience and perseverance.
03:43If anyone is missing under normal circumstances,
03:46you shall not go to Jannah.
03:47You may be a very good Muslim.
03:49You may be praying five times a day.
03:51You may be having mark on the forehead.
03:53You may be fasting in the month of Ramadan.
03:55You may be giving zakat.
03:56You may have gone for Hajj.
03:57But if you do not do Dawah,
04:00according to Surah Al-Asr,
04:01under normal circumstances,
04:03you shall not go to Jannah.
04:04If Allah wants to forgive you
04:06and put you in Jannah,
04:08that's Allah's prerogative.
04:09As Allah says in Surah Nisa 4, verse 48,
04:12and Surah Nisa 4, verse 116,
04:14if Allah pleases,
04:16he may forgive any sin.
04:17But the sin of shirk,
04:18he will not forgive.
04:19So if Allah wants to forgive you
04:21and put you in Jannah,
04:22that's Allah's prerogative.
04:24But in normal circumstances,
04:26if you don't do Dawah,
04:27you shall not go to Jannah.
04:29Only Dawah is also not sufficient.
04:31All four are equally required.
04:32Iman,
04:33faith,
04:34amal-e-salihat,
04:35righteous deed,
04:36Allah,
04:37watawah sa'ubil haq,
04:38inviting people to Thrut doing Dawah,
04:40and watawah sa'ubi sabr,
04:41inviting people to patience and perseverance.
04:43All four are equally important
04:45for you to go to Jannah.
04:47So this was in short,
04:48telling you that Dawah is first
04:51for every Muslim,
04:52man or woman.
