00:00It's mentioned in Fatul Bari, Volume 2, page number 65, that Abdullah bin Umar and Abu Harayra, Mela BPs with them both, they used to go out in the market place during the first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah and loudly they used to recite the Takbirat and when the others used to hear them, the sahabahs, they used to repeat on their own.
00:26That means it is a sunnah during the first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah to say the Takbirat loudly in the market place.
00:35I have travelled to so many Muslim countries, I have never heard in any Muslim country Muslims saying loudly in the market place, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, la ilaha illa Allah, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lillahi alhamd.
00:50I have not heard. Many Muslim countries have gone to. Maybe in some Gulf countries, there may be people saying, but when I travel, I have not heard this in the market place.
01:03We should revise this sunnah. And there's another hadith mentioned in Jamit Armedi, Volume 6, hadith number 3377, that Abu Darda, may Allah be pleased with him.
01:16He said that the messenger of Allah asked, do you know the deed which is most loved by Allah, the deed which is most precious to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, the deed which is more beloved to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
01:32more than giving charity of silver and gold, more than going in the battlefield and striking the necks of the enemies, more beloved than having your necks struck by the enemy in the battlefield.
01:47And the sahabahs asked, which is that deed? And the Prophet replied, zikr of Allah.
01:52Now, this hadith, it is not specifically talking about the first 10 days of Dhul-Ijjah.
01:59It is generally the deed loved most by Allah is zikr.
02:04And all the other hadith I quoted earlier say that the deeds, the good deeds done during the first 10 days of Dhul-Ijjah are better than deeds done on any other day.
02:12So imagine, if we do the zikr of Allah during the first 10 days of Dhul-Ijjah,
02:18especially go out in the marketplace and say loudly the takbirat,
02:24Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, la ilha illallah wa Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lillahi alhamd.
02:30Imagine the sahabah. It is much better than distributing gold or silver in the marketplace.
02:39Much better than being struck by the enemy in the battlefield, striking the enemy on the neck in the battlefield.
02:48or being struck by the enemy on your neck in the battlefield.
02:52Let us revive the sunnah and during these 10 days of Dhul-Ijjah, recite the sahabah on our own and even in the marketplace.
03:02And the 10 days of Dhul-Ijjah are starting from tomorrow in most of the countries.
03:06In Malaysia, where now it is close to 12 midnight, the Dhul-Ijjah has already started, the night has started,
03:14but the day will start approximately 5 hours, 50 minutes from now, inshallah.
03:21Malaysia is one of the few countries where the first 10 days of Dhul-Ijjah will start,
03:28and later on, the other countries, the Gulf countries, 4 hours later, 5 hours later, so on and so forth.
03:35So that's the reason I thought it's important for me to speak on this topic.
03:38So let us decide today that these 10 days of Dhul-Ijjah, which are starting from tomorrow in most of the countries,
03:46in some countries it may be one day later, India, Pakistan, etc.
03:50In some countries it may be two days later.
03:52But most of the countries it is, inshallah, starting from tomorrow.
03:57So let us make the most of these first 10 days of Dhul-Ijjah.
04:02Now we will discuss the second point, which is the important acts and deeds to be done during the first 10 days of Dhul-Ijjah.
04:14I have enumerated 35 important points.
04:18Some people have listed 10, 20, 30, some more.
04:22There are hundreds of good deeds you can do.
04:25To make the list a bit shorter, I have enumerated 35 important deeds and acts to be done during the first 10 days of Dhul-Ijjah.
04:37And whenever I enumerate, I try and enumerate the ones which are the Fardh on the top.
04:44Then coming with the highly recommended Sunnah and then the other Sunnah later on.
04:50That's my policy.
04:51And when I repeat the good deeds, I also repeat the Farah which are supposed to be done daily.
04:56Because what are the Farah's daily have to be done first, then you can talk about the Sunnah-e-Muqadah, then you can talk about the Sunnah-e-Gar-Muqadah.
05:08So this is the order I follow whenever I list the important acts or deeds to be done.
05:13So number one, the most important act during the first 10 days of Dhul-Ijjah is that you should offer salah in congregation in the mosque.
05:24All the five daily salah in congregation in a mosque, it is a Farah, especially for the Muslim men.
05:32For the women, there are exceptions.
05:35And when I am listing these 35 important points, it is for all types of Muslims, whether you are more practicing Muslim,
05:43whether you are moderate practicing Muslim or less practicing Muslim.
05:46If you are a less practiced Muslim, you will see to it that you will do as much as these good deeds as possible.
05:55If you are moderate, what you will do?
05:57You will try and do all of these 35 good deeds.
06:00If you are already a practicing Muslim, then what you will do?
06:04You will see to it that you will increase the intensity of Eibadah.
06:08So these days are meant for all the Muslims, whether you are less practicing, moderate practicing or more practicing.
06:14If you are less practicing, you see to it that you do as much as possible of all the good deeds.
06:19If you are moderate, you see to it that you do all the good deeds and increase the intensity.
06:23If you are already a good practicing Muslim, doing all the Farahs, see to it that you increase the intensity of the Mustahab.
06:31Also do the Giyar Mustahab.
06:33If you are moderate and you are doing the Farahs, then you do the Sunat-e-Muqidah.
06:38If you are a highly practicing Muslim, then besides the Farahs and the Sunat-e-Muqidah, you do the Sunat-e-Giyar Muqidah.
06:46If you are already doing the Sunat-e-Giyar Muqidah, what do you do?
06:48You increase the intensity.
06:49So during these two important days, one is the first 10 days of Dilijjah and the other are the days in the month of Ramadan.
06:59It's very important that you increase the intensity of your ibadah.
07:05So the first important deed to be done during the first 10 days of Dilijjah is offer salah in congregation all five times in the mosque.
07:17Number two, if you have not performed Hajj, you should perform Hajj.
07:23If it's Farahs on you, if you have the means and if you have the health and the wealth and if you have not performed Hajj, you should perform Hajj.
07:31It's a Farahs on you.
07:32If you have already performed Hajj and if you can do it again, it is Mustahab, it is Sunnah, it is encouraged.
07:39But we know since last one and a half year, we have this pandemic of the coronavirus.
07:48And last year, hardly approximately 1,000 were permitted to Hajj.
07:54This year, alhamdulillah, the Saudi government has announced they will allow 60,000 Muslims to do Hajj.
08:00Out of which, 15,000 would be Saudi nationals and the balance 45,000 would be the foreigners who are living in Saudi Arabia who already have the kama.
08:09They will not allow any outside people to enter who are not residents of Saudi Arabia.
08:14But those who are already residents of Saudi Arabia, they will allow 45,000 people and they'll see to it, they'll allow from all the different nationalities depending upon the percentage they're present.
08:24We pray to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that may he next year solve this problem of the pandemic and again the Muslims would be able to do Hajj in large numbers inshallah, in millions like what we used to do two years before.
08:41The third important act indeed is that you should abstain from all the haram acts, from the major sins as well as the minor sins.
08:55And if you're a good Muslim, not doing any major sins, alhamdulillah, there are some minor sins that Muslims normally do, unknowingly or unknowingly.
09:07See to it that during these 10 days we abstain from all the sins, not only the major sins but each and every of the minor sins.
09:16The fourth is that you should fast during Yomul Arafah, the ninth Dulaj.
09:22And as I mentioned earlier, it will expiate your sins of the previous year and the coming year.
09:29The fifth is fast during all the first nine days of Dulhujjah.
09:34The sixth is that if you have the means, you should sacrifice during Yomul Nahar, that is Eidul Arafah, the tenth day of Dulhujjah.
09:49If you have the means and Allah has given you capacity, sacrifice an animal on this day.
09:56The seventh is that say the Tasbih, that is Subhanallah, say the Tahmeed, that is Alhamdulillah, say the Tahleel, that is La Ilaha illallah, and say the Takbir, Allah Akbar, as much as possible during all the 10 days of Dulhujjah.
10:14Or you can recite together, Subhanallah, walhamdulillah, wa la ilaha illallah, wal Allah Akbar.
10:24You can recite this as much as possible throughout the day.
10:28The Eid is that you should go out in the marketplace and say the Takbir as loudly,
10:36so that people are a reminder of Allah subhanahu wa taala and they also repeat it on their own.
10:41and the takbirat
10:42as I had mentioned earlier
10:43Allahu Akbar
10:44Allahu Akbar
10:45La ilaha illallah
10:46Allahu Akbar
10:47Allahu Akbar
10:48Walilaha ilham
10:48as much as possible
10:50go out in the marketplace
10:51tell to the others
10:52remind others
10:53to do zikr
10:54remember Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
10:56it is more
10:57sawab
10:58than distributing
11:00gold
11:01or silver
11:02in the marketplace
11:03the ninth is
11:04praying
11:05the tahajjud salah

14:52out of the toilet
14:53there is a dua
14:53when you wear
15:10and drink water
15:11it is a very
15:12important
15:12sunnah
15:13of the prophet
15:13when you wear a footwear see to it you wear the footwear on the right leg first when you remove
15:19the footwear see to it you remove your left leg first when you enter the mosque enter with the
15:26right leg when you exit the mosque you exit with the left leg when you enter the toilet enter with
15:31the left leg when you exit the toilet you exit the toilet with the right leg when you are wearing a
15:36dress a shirt put your right hand first when you're removing the shirt remove the left hand first when
15:42you're wearing a trouser put the right leg first when you're moving the trouser remove your left
15:47leg first these are the various sunnahs of the prophet do as many sunnahs as you can if you're
15:53not doing start doing it if you're doing few do more if you're doing more increase it as much as
15:59possible during these 10 days of dhul ijja during these first 10 days of dhul ijja you should see
16:06to it that a good deed should increase as compared to the other days of the year it should be more
16:12if you're reading few do as read more do as if you're reading only the first start reading
16:18the sunnah moqadah if you're reading only sunnah moqadah and first start reading sunnah moqadah
16:23if you're reading all these three increase your salah increase your dua increase you're asking for
16:30forgiveness 22 read the authentic hadith of the prophet the say hadith you have the say bukhari
16:38say muslim and the socialize say of albani the say hadith from abu daoud from nisai from ibn maja
16:49and so forth and there's also a new compilation done by shaykh ziyaraman azmi of jami kamil we've
16:58accumulated all the hadiths in sahih and remove the duplicate which is approximately 16 546 hadith
17:07all the same so once you read this you can easily say that you have read all the hadiths in sahih whether
17:14it's bukhari muslim etc without duplicating so it's easier so if you read the jami kamil it's a good
17:21thing to do point number 23 is that you should forgive people's faults forgive the faults of
17:34others whatever faults that people do around you rather than keeping in your mind or taking a grudge
17:42forgive it if you forgive allah will forgive you whether it be of a family member whether it be
17:48of your staff whether it be people around you forgive as many faults as possible of the others
