01:32Well, I don't think you did, but we did get an email about you from somebody who listens to the show.
01:37No? That's why we're on the phone.
01:39Oh, cool. Cool.
01:41Okay. You have the most chill attitude.
01:43I know.
01:44Yeah.
01:44Um, well, we do a segment on the show that's called The First Date Follow-Up.
01:48That's where if you go out on a date with somebody and then you end up ghosting them,
01:52that person can have us call you to ask us why you're ghosting them.
01:56Uh-oh.
01:58Who are you ghosting?
01:59So, this is about Connor?
02:02Yes, it is about Connor.
02:03He said that he really liked you, thought your date was great,
02:07and is confused that it's been, you know, over a week now and you haven't responded to him.
02:11Do you mind telling us why?
02:12Yeah. Well, oh, my goodness. The date was fun, like, surprisingly fun. He's, you know, clever and charming, but also he was just a lot.
02:26He was a lot?
02:27What does that mean?
02:28Well, you know how people can just, like, there's a line of, like, too much sometimes. At first, we were clicking,
02:35and, like, I thought it was, you know, cute how into the scavenger hunt he was.
02:38And, you know, I love, like, interactive things and games and everything, but he kept making, like, literally everything into a bit just the whole time.
02:47Like, narrating the date in a, oh, God, the worst fake British accent I've ever heard.
02:54You know, it's cute the first time, but not, like, you know, an hour later.
02:57And then, you know, trying to solve clues that, like, weren't even, you know, part of the game and, you know, high-fiving strangers.
03:05There isn't, like, like, not everyone is into this, dude, you know?
03:10You're high-fiving strangers.
03:12I mean, that's kind of a warm energy, no?
03:15Yeah.
03:15I mean, like, this old guy just kind of looked at him weird, which actually was pretty funny.
03:20But then he, like, he climbed up on a fountain to, like, look for another clue.
03:25I don't know.
03:26It set off this motion alarm and then, what's their thing?
03:30Like, a docent?
03:32Uh-huh.
03:33Yeah.
03:33Yeah, like, he got into, like, an argument with him and, like, they were threatening to, like, call security.
03:41And then he was arguing about whether this, like, you know, I've seen it in different TV shows where it's, like, a banana or a fire extinguisher or something just, like, on the wall, whether that counts as art, you know?
03:53Like, having this debate about modern art.
03:55And it was just, like, I feel like those two examples just kind of, like, explain it the best.
04:00So it was just, like, chaotic energy.
04:02And I was just, like, at first I was excited, but then by the end I was just exhausted.
04:07Wait, wait, wait, that's why you ghosted me?
04:11Because I was too fun?
04:13Hey, Gia, that's Connor.
04:13Connor's on the phone listening.
04:15Oh, my God.
04:15Oh, my God.
04:15And I'll talk to you.
04:16You guys didn't tell me that she was on here.
04:19You didn't say anything at the time.
04:22I mean, you were laughing and we were having a really good time.
04:25We were having fun.
04:26We were, but then I also laugh when I'm stressed, like, and nervous, you know?
04:31Like, I'm not going to tell someone I barely know, like, how to not act when they're having fun.
04:39And, yeah, some of it was fun and funny, but then I was just, like, by the end of it,
04:45I didn't feel safe leaving you unsupervised in public.
04:48I feel like you should have had one of those backpacks with a leaf on or something.
04:50Listen, Gia, I wasn't trying to be extra.
04:55I just, I really liked you.
04:58I was nervous, so I leaned into the jokes because it felt easier than, like, being awkward or quiet or, like, too serious.
05:07I get that.
05:08However, it's, like, okay to be quiet for a little bit in a museum, you know?
05:13There wasn't any room for just, like, being and, like, stopping and observing.
05:17It was just, like, on to the next, on to the next.
05:19It was, like, being stuck in an improv show.
05:22Well, look, I know I can be a lot, but, like, on that date, I swear I was not putting on a show.
05:28I was genuinely having one of the best dates I've ever had in my life.
05:33And I was just so surprised and it was so refreshing that you were so smart and funny.
05:38And you made art, to me, feel, like, less pretentious.
05:41So I just didn't want it to end.
05:44Gia, he loves your brain.
05:45Okay, well, that's really sweet, actually.
05:52I mean, listen, I'm not looking for you to change your vibe or anything.
05:57Like, if you're chamomile, that's great.
06:00But, I don't know, chamomile and espresso, espresso can work together, balance each other out or whatever, right?
06:06Um, I was so lost for a second that I'm in there.
06:10So you're espresso?
06:11I mean, I do like lavender more than chamomile, but, what, you want to be a latte?
06:17Like, what?
06:18Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.
06:20See, I can be a whole damn macchiato if you'll let me.
06:24What do you think, Gia?
06:25You want to let him be a macchiato?
06:27Would you go on another date with Connor?
06:28We'll pay for it.
06:29That's some sweet talk.
06:30Yeah.
06:30You want some macchiato?
06:32Oh, I mean, okay, let me think.
06:35I appreciate the honesty, I do.
06:38I did have a good time, minus the part where I thought we were going to get banned from the museum forever.
06:43Because there's an exhibit coming up that I really want to see.
06:45I will say, I will not climb on fountains.
06:46I will not climb on fountains, I swear.
06:48I will not get in fights with the docent, and there will be no fake accents.
06:53And high fives.
06:54Unless requested.
06:55No high fives.
06:56Unless, like, maybe our next date is maybe signing up for an improv show.
07:02Or something.
07:04I mean, I think we should give it one more shot.
07:07Yeah.
07:09You will?
07:09You will.
07:10Yeah, because even today you made me laugh.
07:13Yay.
07:13All right.
07:14Sweet.
07:15Congratulations.
07:15Yay.
07:16This is awesome.
07:18Oh, yes.
07:19This is exactly how I hoped this would go.
07:21This is great.
07:22Okay, well, I'll text you, and we can go get those lattes and plan the next thing.
