Hello there, good evening. Hope you've had a wonderful weekend. It has remained rather
00:05
cloudy across northern regions, but those in the south have increasingly seen the blue
00:09
skies prevailing, and it seems like this in Norfolk that even more of us are going to
00:13
be experiencing on a frequent basis as we head over the next few days. For now, though,
00:19
we do still have that cloud and areas of rain further north, so it is going to be a fairly
00:23
wet and damp evening to come for parts of Scotland, continuing overnight with quite
00:28
a breezy picture overall here. Drier further towards the south and underneath some of
00:32
the clearest of skies, there will be some patchy mist and fog developing. We might see a patchy
00:37
grass frost in some rural locations where temperatures drop down to mid or low single figures. Underneath
00:43
the cloud further towards the north, temperatures across Northern Ireland and Scotland quite
00:47
widely holding up in double-digit figures, so a milder start to the new working week.
00:52
It's going to be slow progress through Monday as we watch this band of rain shift its way
00:57
northwards, certainly for the Highlands, parts of the Outer Hebrides, and eventually towards
01:01
Orkney as well. There will be some outbreaks of rain at times. As it moves northwards, though,
01:06
it is taking some of that cloud with it, so the skies will be brightening for central southern
01:10
areas of Scotland into Northern Ireland and the far north of England as well. The Book of England and
01:15
Wales certainly seeing quite a fine day with plentiful amounts of sunshine in there. Temperatures
01:20
responding to that sunshine quite widely seeing 20 degrees Celsius, if not 24, 25 across some
01:26
south-eastern parts, very much feeling very warm. These fine conditions are all courtesy of an area
01:32
of high pressure that is building its way in across pretty much all areas of the UK. It's going to help
01:38
to shift that weather front even further northwards, though it will still be lingering for the Northern
01:42
Isles as we head into Tuesday, so a cloudier theme here with still some patchy light rain and drizzle.
01:48
But for most of us, Tuesday really is looking like quite a wonderful day. Plentiful amounts of
01:53
sunshine, a little breezy across the far south-west of England, but certainly light winds inland will
01:58
again help it make it feel quite warm. Temperatures climbing even higher than on Monday, more widely
02:04
seeing mid-20 figures. In places we could squeeze 26 across the far south-east on Tuesday. Certainly,
02:12
these values are well up on the average of what we'd normally expect for the end of April,
02:17
usually around 12 degrees in the north and 16 degrees in the south, so it's going to be feeling
02:21
like an early dose of summer for many of us. With these high temperatures though, it does mean the
02:27
plants are going to be in bloom, and with that we are going to see some high, if not very high,
02:32
levels of pollen around. It is tree pollen out at the moment, particularly oak trees, so if you are
02:38
susceptible to that, do be aware when you're out and about over the next few days. The fine weather
02:44
is looking to continue throughout pretty much most of this week, and temperatures will be climbing
02:48
even further throughout Wednesday and Thursday, thanks to that ongoing sunshine and day-on-day
02:54
heating will allow some of us to climb towards the high 20s as we do head later on in the week.
03:01
We'll have plenty more updates though, of course, of what you can expect as we head over the next few
03:05
days, so to subscribe to the YouTube channel for all of those, and we'll see you again very soon. Bye-bye.
