00:00My parents, they wanted me to learn an instrument, you know, and so I was like, yeah, I'd love to, sounds good.

00:06And so they said, do you want to learn the guitar or the cello?

00:08So I chose the cello because I'd never heard of it.

00:11And it turned out to be just the perfect choice, you know, because then I became a teenager

00:16and all my friends were in like rock bands, punk bands.

00:19And wouldn't you know, there was all, people were always clamoring for a cello, you know.

00:23They were always looking, how do we get a cello in here, you know.

00:26Such a versatile instrument, the cello, you know.

00:28The number of times you find a cello hanging on your friend's wall when you go over and you say,

00:32hey, you mind if I pull this down and play some long open tones?

00:35Would that, would that kick this party up a notch?

00:38A little, you know.

00:42In high school, guys would sit around a campfire, right, and some guys would pull out an acoustic guitar

00:46and be like, hey, who wants to hear some Wonderwall, you know.

00:49And all the girls would come closer, you know.

00:51And I'd be sitting nearby with my cello like, oh my God, it's like shooting fish in a barrel.

00:56If these girls like Oasis, they're going to love Funeral March in E.
