00:06A typhoon, Typhoon Nika, has occurred.

00:10The strength of the wind near the center of the typhoon reached 120 km per hour

00:17and the wind speed reached 150 km per hour.

00:23The typhoon is near the center of the typhoon in Calupaan.

00:28The distance of the center of the typhoon is 100 km east-southeast of Kasiguran, Aurora.

00:36We still expect that it will move in the direction of west-northwestward

00:41or near Calupaan at a speed of 20 km per hour.

00:49Here is the track and intensity forecast of the typhoon.

00:55We expect that this morning, the center of the typhoon may landfall or hit Calupaan

01:05and it may landfall in Isabela or Northern Aurora.

01:11We expect that the typhoon will weaken as the typhoon moves

01:18due to the interaction or friction of the land.

01:24We still expect that the typhoon will continue to weaken

01:29even if the typhoon is in the West Philippine Sea until it leaves our Philippine Area of Responsibility.

04:15there is a high chance of heavy or strong rain due to Tropical Cyclone Nica.

04:20Intense to torrential rain can be experienced in Aurora,

04:26as well as Isabela,

04:27Cagayan,

04:28Carino,

04:29Nueva Vizcaya,

04:31as well as Ifugao,

04:32Mountain Province,

04:33Calinga,

04:34and Apayaw.

04:36Heavy to intense rainfall can be experienced in Abra,

04:40Benguet,

04:41Ilocos Norte,

04:42Ilocos Sur,

04:43and La Union.

04:45Moderate to heavy rains can be experienced in Camarins Norte,

04:49Camarins Sur,

04:51as well as Quezon,

04:53Nueva Ecija,

04:54Tarlac,

04:55and Pangasinan.

04:57Tomorrow,

04:58there is still a high chance of heavy or strong rain.

05:02Heavy to intense rainfall can be experienced in Ilocos Norte,

05:05and Ilocos Sur.

05:07Moderate to heavy rains can be experienced in La Union,

05:10and in Pangasinan.

05:14Due to this rainfall,

05:15the chances of flooding or landslides are still high,

05:20especially in lower areas,

05:22near the mountains,

05:26and near rivers.

05:28We urge the local government officials to keep in touch

05:34with the affected areas,

05:36and to know where the evacuation centers are.

05:45Now, there is still a gale warning

05:48due to the effects of Hurricane Nika.

05:51High waves are expected in coastal areas.

06:02Ilocos Norte,

06:03Ilocos Sur,

06:05Quezon,

06:06and Polilo Island,

06:09northern and eastern coasts of Camarins Sur,

06:13and northern coasts of Catatuanes.

06:17Because of this,

06:25due to the high waves.
