00:00Good morning from the Pag-asa Weather Forecasting Center.

00:04The time is here.

00:06Today is Monday, December 23, 2024.

00:10And in our latest satellite images, we can see that this storm,

00:14which we call Surumina, is moving away from the Kalayaan Island.

00:18It's eye-catching.

00:19165 kilometers away from Pag-asa Island, Kalayaan, Palawan.

00:26We expect that it will head towards Vietnam.

00:30And it won't have a direct effect on any part of the country.

00:34Except for the troughs,

00:36we can see that there are troughs here in Palawan.

00:39This will bring rains,

00:41there will be flurries,

00:43especially in the part of Palawan,

00:45particularly here in the northern part of Palawan.

00:49Meanwhile, the shear line,

00:51this is the hot and cold wind,

00:53will still bring rains in a large part of Kabisayaan,

00:57especially in eastern Visayas,

00:59which is experiencing moderate to heavy up to intense rain.

01:03So be careful of the possibility of sudden floods,

01:06flash floods, and landslides.

01:09It will also rain in a large part of the Bicol region,

01:12along with parts of Mimaropa, Calabarzon,

01:16as well as in the area of Aurora.

01:19We also expect that due to the effect of the northeast monsoon,

01:23the sky will be cloudy

01:25in a large part of the Cagayan Valley region, Cordillera,

01:29as well as here in the area of Nueva Ecija,

01:32along with the area of Bulacan, Rizal,

01:35and also here in Manila,

01:37we may experience a cloudy sky with mild rains.

01:41In most parts of our country,

01:43especially here in the Mindanao area and in the Ilocos region,

01:47generally, we have fair weather,

01:49but it is still possible that there will be isolated or mild rains in Luzon

01:54while there are landslides in the area of Mindanao.

01:58Aside from the fact that we are monitoring the typhoon,

02:00we are not monitoring any low-pressure areas

02:04or typhoons inside and outside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

02:07So it is possible that by the time of Christmas,

02:11we may not have typhoons inside and outside of PAR.

02:16At this time of the year here in Luzon,

02:18we will see a high chance of rain

02:22in a large part of the Bicol region,

02:24along with Calabarzon and a large part of Mimaropa,

02:27along with Shirline.

02:29While we may experience mild rains and cloudy skies,

02:33a large part of the Cagayan Valley region,

02:35as well as Cordillera,

02:37along with the areas in Central Luzon,

02:39particularly in the area of Aurora,

02:43as well as in Nueva Ecija,

02:45and possibly, here in Manila,

02:47there may be cloudy skies with mild rains.

02:50In the southern part of Luzon,

02:52particularly in the Ilocos region,

02:54we may experience generally fair weather

02:56but it is still possible for isolated light rains.

02:59It will still be accompanied by mild winds.

03:01The temperature outside is 23 to 31 degrees Celsius.

03:05In Tuguegarao, it is up to 28 degrees Celsius.

03:07In Baguio, it is 16 to 24 degrees Celsius.

03:10In Manila, it is 24 to 30 degrees Celsius.

03:13In Legazpi, in the Bicol region,

03:15it is 24 to 29 degrees Celsius.

03:17While in Tagaytay, it is 21 to 27 degrees Celsius.

03:21Here we are in Visayas and Palawan.

03:24We can also see cloudy skies

03:26with rains in the Palawan region.

03:28It is accompanied by a trough or an extension of a storm

03:32that we call Sirumina.

03:34The water temperature in Kalayaan Islands is 25 to 29 degrees Celsius.

03:55The water temperature in Iloilo is 25 to 30 degrees Celsius.

03:59In Cebu, it is 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.

04:02In Tacloban, it is 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.

04:06A large part of Mindanao

04:08will experience isolated rainstorms.

04:12Generally, we will experience fair weather

04:14in a large part of Mindanao.

04:16The water temperature in Zamboanga is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.

04:20In Davao, it is 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.

04:22While in Cagayan de Oro City, it is 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.

04:27Tomorrow, we are expected to continue experiencing

04:30heavy rains in the Bicol region

04:33as well as in Calabarzon.

04:35It is also possible that in Amihan,

04:39we will experience moderate to heavy rainstorms,

04:43particularly in Isabela

04:45and in a large part of Mimaropa.

04:48So be careful, especially in this part of eastern Visayas

04:51where the rains will continue for several days

04:54after the shear line is affected.

04:59we are still expecting heavy rains in the Bicol region

05:04as well as in Quezon Province in Mimaropa.

05:21in a large part of the eastern section of Luzon
