Pontins has closed its site in North Wales with immediate effect, according to its owner. Holiday makers at the camp in Prestatyn in Denbighshire have been told they will be refunded for their stays, and the company have apologised. The local MP said the site had a bad reputation and welcomed a change for the site.

NHS Bosses in Gwent have appealed for families to take medically fit patients home to care for them as bed blocking concerns mount. Winter NHS pressures are expected, and as many as 300 people who could be discharged are unable to be. A patient support charity has called on the NHS to offer more support for families.

Amgueddfa Cymru, Museums Wales has officially partnered with the Glamorgan Brewing company in preparations for the opening of the long awaited Vulcan Hotel in St Fagan’s. The pub was built in 1853, but closed in 2012 before being re-erected at the museum, and will open its door again in 2024.
