Equity benchmark indices ruled higher during early hours on March 26 following reports that the government may soon announce an economic stimulus package to soften the blow of countrywide lockdown. At 10:15 am, the BSE S and P Sensex was up by 1,175 points or 4.12 per cent to 29,711 while the Nifty 50 edged higher by 327 points or 3.93 per cent to 8,645.

భారత స్టాక్ మార్కెట్లు మూడోరోజు లాభాల్లోనే ట్రేడ్ అవుతున్నాయి. మంగళ, బుధవారాలు భారీ లాభాల్లో ముగిసిన విషయం తెలిసిందే. గురువారం కూడా అదే ఒరవడి కొనసాగింది. ప్రీ-ఓపెన్ సమయంలో సెన్సెక్స్ 754 పాయింట్లు, నిఫ్టీ 84 పాయింట్లు ఎగిసింది. డాలరు మారకంతో రూపాయి 75.87 వద్ద ప్రారంభించింది. మంగళవారం రూ.75.88 వద్ద క్లోజ్ అయింది. గం.9.19 సమయానికి సెన్సెక్స్ 243.93 పాయింట్ల (0.85%) లాభంతో 28,779.71, నిఫ్టీ 53.85 పాయింట్ల (0.65%) లాభంతో 8,371.70 వద్ద ట్రేడింగ్ ప్రారంభించింది. సెన్సెక్స్ ఉదయం గం.10 సమయానికి 1,029.59 (3.61%) పాయింట్లు ఎగిసి 29,565.37 వద్ద ట్రేడ్ అయింది.
