JURALA - జోగులాంబ గద్వాల జిల్లా జూరాల జలాశయానికి వరద ఉద్ధృతి కొనసాగుతోంది. జూరాల ప్రాజెక్టు ఇన్‌ఫ్లో 60వేల క్యూసెక్కులు ప్రాజెక్టుకు వచ్చి చేరుతుండగా 5 గేట్లు ఎత్తి 38,824 క్యూసెక్కులు నీటిని శ్రీశైలానికి విడుదల చేశారు. జూరాల ప్రాజెక్టుపూర్తి స్థాయి నీటిమట్టం 318.516 మీటర్లుగా ఉంది. జూరాల ప్రాజెక్టు ప్రస్తుత నీటిమట్టం 317.470 మీటర్లు. పూర్తి నీటినిల్వ 9.65 టీఎంసీలు. జూరాల జలాశయంలో ప్రస్తుత నీటినిల్వ 7.627 టీఎంసీలు. నెట్టెంపాడు లిఫ్ట్ ఇరిగేషన్ కింద 15 వేల క్యూసెక్కులు విడుదలు చేశారు. జూరాల ప్రాజెక్టు గేట్ల రోప్లు తెగిపోయి కనిపించడం, మరికొన్నిగేట్ల నుంచి నీళ్లు లీకవుతుండటంపై సర్వత్రా ఆందోళన వ్యక్తమవుతోంది. జూరాల ప్రాజెక్టుకు మొత్తం 62 గేట్లు ఉండగా 4, 31వ నెంబర్ గేట్లలోని రోప్‌లో తెగిపోయి కనిపిస్తున్నాయి. అవి కాకుండా మరో 8 గేట్ల రోప్లు వదులుగా కనిపిస్తున్నాయి.
Flood Flow Continues into Jurala Reservoir in Jogulamba Gadwal District
Heavy inflows are being recorded at the Jurala reservoir, with around 60,000 cusecs of water entering the project. Authorities have opened 5 gates to release 38,824 cusecs of water downstream to Srisailam.

Nettempadu Lift Irrigation Scheme: 15,000 cusecs released
Concerns have been raised as gate ropes of the Jurala project are reported to be damaged. Specifically, the ropes of gates 4 and 31 are visibly broken. Additionally, ropes of 8 more gates appear to be loose, raising safety concerns among officials and locals.
The Jurala Project has a total of 62 gates, and maintenance issues during flood conditions are now under close scrutiny.
