Rajma - Kidney Beans Curry Recipe by Ruchi Bharani - Vegetarian [HD]
INGREDIENTS-
1 & 1/2 cup (rajma) kidney beans
1 onion chopped
2 tomatoes boiled and pureed
coriander leaves
1 inch ginger piece
4 cloves of garlic
1 & 1/2 tbsp. oil
2 green chillies
salt
1/2 tsp. coriander and cumin seed powder
1/2 tsp. red chilli powder
1/2 tsp. garam masala
1/2 tsp. raw mango powder (amchur powder)

METHOD-
- Soak the kidney beans for 6-7 hours. Pressure cook for 5-6 whistles.
- Grind onion, garlic, ginger and chillies in a smooth paste.
- Heat 1 & 1/2 tbsp. oil in a round bottom pan. Add onion paste and saute it for 6-7 min.
- Add tomato puree. Mix well and add garam masala, raw mango powder, coriander and cumin seed powder, red chilli powder. Add coriander leaves. Cook till all the water from the tomato puree dries out.
- Reduce the flame. Cover and cook for 5 min.
- Add the soaked and pressure cooked kidney beans along with the water. Add water to make the curry consistency. Add salt to taste. Let boil for 4-5 min.
- Serve with steaming hot rice! Garnish with coriander leaf.
