00:00But besides just, you know, the practice rounds and just the, how, you know, what Augusta is, I have really come to absolutely love and enjoy the Wednesday part three contest.
00:14And this year we were gifted some incredible content.
00:18First off, we had a couple of guys go in the booth, Wendell Clark and Max Homa, kind of mixing it up there with the broadcast to have those guys be a part of it was fun and made it a little different.
00:27And then also you have like all of these, these players that are now playing and, and it's funny because none of them seem to ever finish a hole.
00:36So none of them are ever going to win the part three contest.
00:39But I mean, just the goods we got from Tommy Fleetwood's kid, Frankie Fleetwood.
00:44I think the soundbite was maybe next year I'll be able to hit it over the pond in this like cute little, little Frankie Fleetwood accent.
00:51Just try to picture what that sounds like.
00:53And like Poppy, Rory's kid making a putt, Shane's daughter making a putt.
01:00And then Bennett, Bennett's kid on the first tee was making noise while Scotty was about to hit his first shot.
01:08So I just, that Wednesday part three contest kind of comes to mind is something that a lot of people would forget about,
01:16but it was really like one of the better part three contest days.
01:19And I think we've had in quite some time.
01:21I love starting there given what we just talked about this last week at the open championship with Scotty talking about the importance of family.
01:29I mean, just thinking back to how family centric in a lot of ways that week is and maybe the season's been.
01:35But I remember, you know, the anticipation, the excitement you talk about showing up for the Masters.
01:39This is the first year that I actually sat in the press room and for the press building and got to ask questions of players.
01:45And I used one of my questions to ask Scotty what sort of merchandise shopping he was doing for Bennett that week.
01:51And we, of course, had Bennett scripted in Nike gear for the part three contest, which was hilarious.
01:56And, you know, just how cool that was.
01:59And then also on the back end of that week, as Rory's leading up to the tournament that could get him over the line to complete the career Grand Slam,
02:07which he eventually does, he talks about hanging out with Poppy after the Saturday round and watching Zootopia.
02:12So I just love, I love, I love the part three contest.
02:16We saw Poppy, you know, play in that this year.
02:18And just the way that, that kind of this golf and family, in a lot of ways, that was, that was a theme of this major season as well,
02:24which we love as dads who are watching our young kids grow up and take to the game of golf.
02:29And that's, you know, it's nice to be able to zoom out and have that sort of special connection.
02:33And there's nothing in golf the entire year that is as good of a reminder of that as, as this part three tournament.
02:39I guess, in addition to just watching Bennett Shepard like trophies, those are the two big reminders of that.
