00:00Let's first talk about Pacquiao Barrios because it turned out to be a better fight than we thought.
00:05Still not a great fight, but it ends up controversially to some people.
00:08A lot of people clamoring, including pro boxers, about Pacquiao getting robbed.
00:12It was a majority draw. One judge had it for Barrios, 115-113. Two judges had it as a draw.
00:19And a lot of people thought that Pacquiao got robbed, that he should have been one of the oldest champions,
00:23and that it wasn't fair. And I think that's rubbish. I think that's ridiculous.
00:27I think that's a load of crap. I mean, honestly, did they watch the fight for real?
00:31Take off the Pacquiao colored glasses here. I watched that fight.
00:35I even went back and watched rounds over because, you know, when I saw them, I'm like,
00:39am I seeing this wrong? Am I the idiot here?
00:42Because all these other people are talking about how great this guy did.
00:45Yeah, he lasted all 12 rounds. He threw a bunch of punches.
00:49You know, it was better than expected.
00:51But I think, A, part of that is because Barrios, I think, just gave up some rounds.
00:54I don't think he really turned it up until the end, like we saw, which has been a problem for him before.
00:58You know, it's the second time he had to really rush the last couple rounds there in order to get to a draw.
01:02But he didn't fight like a championship fighter, but he needed to Pacquiao.
01:06I mean, everyone has this love for him.
01:07And obviously, he had an incredible career, has had a great career, and people were rooting for him.
01:12He's a fan favorite in a lot of ways, but he didn't win that fight.
01:15I don't know what you were watching.
01:17In fact, I don't even think he drew that fight.
01:19To me, I had a 116-112 for Barrios.
01:22If you want to give a round here or there to Pacquiao, okay, I'm going to say the 115-113 was accurate.
01:29I can see that.
01:30But when you look at the judges' scorecards, there were three rounds that they had different.
01:36Otherwise, every other round, all judges scored it one way.
01:40They had 1-6-8-9 for Pacquiao.
01:43I agree with that.
01:44I thought, you know, those ones he came forward more.
01:46As you got into the 6-8-9, I thought he did a good job landing some good power shots in tight.
01:51It was more aggressive.
01:52They all had 2-3, 10-11 for Barrios.
01:57I agree with all those.
01:58You know, he kind of turns it up a little bit more towards the end especially.
02:01But early on, he was using that jab to keep Pacquiao away.
02:04And, you know, using that height advantage where a lot of Pacquiao's punches were landing on the gloves.
02:08They weren't landing to the face.
02:10Some were landing to the body.
02:11But I thought his stiff jab was doing more damage to Pacquiao.
02:13It was kind of snapping that head back a little bit more early on.
02:16And then the power punches that he was finally unleashing towards the end obviously put those last couple rounds in favor of him.
02:21The only ones that were really up for grabs, according to judges scorecards, were 4-5-7.
02:27And I gave all those to Barrios.
02:28You want to give one of those to Pacquiao?
02:30I can see it.
02:32I don't give him two of those.
02:33I don't make it 1-14-1-14.
02:35I thought in the fourth round, it was similar to the third and the second where Barrios was using the jab.
02:40Maybe getting a little more aggressive towards the end of it.
02:43Maybe using some more power punches.
02:44But especially with that longer jab, was snapping Pacquiao's head back a little bit.
02:47And was blocking a lot of Pacquiao's punches with the gloves.
02:50The fifth round, I thought, again, it was getting better.
02:53It was getting stronger.
02:54Big snapping jab.
02:55The seventh round, I thought he did better keeping the distance and keeping Pacquiao outside with the jabs.
02:59Throwing more of those.
03:00Not just throwing one or two.
03:01Throwing them in quick succession to really keep Pacquiao off him.
03:04And, you know, Pacquiao was throwing punches that were just short of landing.
03:08Hitting the gloves.
03:09Not hitting.
03:10I thought that Barrios was the clear winner of that fight.
03:13And maybe I'm the crazy one.
03:14But I don't think Pacquiao drew that fight.
03:17I don't even think it was 1-15-1-13.
03:20I thought it was a four-point advantage from Barrios.
03:21There was no 10-8 rounds.
03:23No one got knocked down.
03:24It wasn't even the most exciting fight.
03:26But I thought that Barrios still won that fight.
03:28And is the champion as he should be.
03:30Then also, the guy that is still the champion.
03:33The champion is, of course, Oleksandr Yousik fighting Daniel Dubois for the second time.
03:38This guy proved why he is the best at heavyweight.
03:40Maybe one of the best ever.
03:41He was undisputed cruiserweight champion.
03:44Now, for the second time, becomes undisputed heavyweight champion.
03:46After dropping Dubois with some big shots.
03:49Dropped him twice in that round.
03:51And just showed he is just a different class.
03:53Of course, there's other reports coming out.
03:55Maybe Dubois' dad kind of did him in a little bit here with causing problems with security at the venue.
04:01Throwing a party before the fight that made Dubois leave the house and go sleep somewhere else.
04:05Because, you know, it was just loud and raucous and late.
04:07I don't buy any of that.
04:08Yousik is just a better fighter.
04:09And, seriously, boxing.
04:12The interim belts, when you have a guy that is the champion that now becomes undisputed again
04:16because you gave an interim belt to somebody else for whatever reason.
04:19Like, there's too many governing bodies.
04:21Too many belts in each division.
04:23And you can't give an interim belt to have the same time to make this guy now become a second time undisputed.
04:27He wasn't disputed.
04:28Remains undisputed.
04:29Incredible performance by him once again.
04:32Incredible performance by both Holloway and Poitier.
04:33The UFC in New Orleans as Poitier closes his career.
04:36Both guys back and forth battle.
04:38Holloway keeps the BMF title as they both land some shots.
04:41They both get knockdowns.
04:42But Holloway is a little bit better.
04:44Great career by Dustin Poitier, though.
04:45The diamond will for sure be a Hall of Famer and remembered.
