00:16who's hit 40 home runs basically before August.

00:19The changing of the seller's market and the buyer's market where it's no longer a buyer's market.

00:24It's the ultimate seller's market right now, it seems like.

00:27It is, but it's also one of these situations where there's, to me,

00:33there's not really a player that's going to move the needle for a contender one way or another.

00:40We're talking about a lot of mid-level pitching starters, you know, number three, four guys.

00:46There's not a ton of bullpen or shutdown closers available.

00:50You've got basically at this point, you know, nice pieces to be able to add as you make a stretch run.

00:57The other problem is, Donnie, is who's going to overpay for any of these players?

01:01There usually is one team that will maybe pay a little bit more than they should have

01:06because they think their window of opportunity is here.

01:09But I don't see, unless we're talking about the Nats deciding, time to move on for McKenzie Gore, right?

01:16Now, that's a name that you might get a team to bite and say, you know what?

01:21We'll overpay for McKenzie Gore right now to be able to get him in and have a frontline starter.

01:26Outside of that, who's going to move Merrill Kelly, Zach Gallen?

01:31Who's going to move the needle for some of these teams to overpay for?

01:36Exactly. Like, it used to be in the past, the Dodgers are going to pick up Max Scherzer and Trey Turner.

01:40Hey, that's fantastic. Dodgers got Manny Machado.

01:42Like, you're talking like franchise guys on the move here.

01:45But now it's like, okay, Eugenio Suarez is a nice piece.

01:47But also, did we miss the hot action?

01:50We expect that he's going to hit 25 home runs from August 1st all the way to September

01:53and then dominate in the playoffs? You don't know what you're getting,

01:56but also understanding the guidelines where yesterday, and I know it's a contract

02:00or a negotiation with the rest of baseball.

02:03Hey, you guys aren't giving me enough good prospects here.

02:04I'm going to put this out. We'll keep them and we'll resign them and just be fine.

02:13He could be one of five or six players that are going to get traded from that team.

02:21And when I see the Mariners get them, anytime you get a competent bat,

02:25I feel like it's a huge win for the Mariners.

02:27But they have been getting competent bats over the years,

02:30but it still doesn't seem to equate to a ton of runs when it really matters

02:34because they play in T-Mobile.

02:35I don't hate this move for the Mariners.

02:36They got better with this move, but this isn't a, man,

02:39you just got Aaron Judge headed to your team.

02:41Good luck and you'll win the World Series.

02:43Well, the crazy thing is, too, Donnie, is usually this time of year

02:47at the trade deadline, making the team better.

02:49Seattle is never a team we talk about because they always opt never to make any moves.

02:55They don't tend to ever pay for anybody at this time of year,

02:59and the fan base goes absolutely crazy.

03:02I like the nail and move because it's exactly the kind of bat in that ballpark

03:06that you need to win in the postseason.

03:09The long ball wins in the postseason.

03:11The Mariners got a pretty good one at not a very steep price to get them either.

03:15So, today, the Mariners are much better off, and I think the fire sale begins in Arizona.

03:21Yeah, it looks like it is, too.

03:23And, by the way, Arizona isn't, like, dead in the water like their Colorado Rockies

03:26or the Pittsburgh Pirates.

03:27Like, that's a team.

03:28Man, they got a lot of talent, but completely reassessing on the fly

03:31of what they need for the future, and it's probably more pitching prospects

03:34back in that building because Zach Gallin you're supposed to hang your hat on.

03:38Zach Gallin ain't been Zach Gallin.

03:39And Zach Gallin is also now on the trade block here for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
