00:00all right joe is a big met fan we talked about it before the break talked about how important
00:04pitching is joe uh help is on the way dear we often quote a great film kodai sanga what are
00:10your thoughts well thoughts are that he is returning uh hopefully next weekend against
00:16the royals that's the plan so is sean mania so those are two huge additions here to this
00:21mets pitching staff and it couldn't come at a better time you had the mcgill injury you had
00:25the canning injury you had the blackburn injury none of these guys can stay healthy right now
00:30and kodai sanga looking to get uh back on track here now he did have a rehab start in double a
00:35he went three and two thirds innings gave up four runs three earned but he got up to 68 pitches
00:40that's important he had four strikeouts just two walks so if he's at 70 pitches i would be surprised
00:46if they made him take another rehab start my guess is they will take the 80 plus pitches 85 and just
00:52try to you know get those innings at the major league level and those pitches at the major league
00:57level next week against the royals especially because we are coming up against the break here
01:00so you're going to get to give the bullpen a rest anyway so i'd rather take five innings of kodai
01:05sanga than try to patch something together here with the bullpen i don't think that's a good idea
01:10they're going to have to do that today you want to do that twice in a week span probably not so i do
01:15think you're going to see sean mania back you're going to see kodai sanga back probably my guess
01:20would be friday and saturday maybe friday and sunday with mania being the guy on sunday so
01:25we shall see it's good news for the mets rotation that's for sure now the question is do the mets
01:30think that's enough right if you have peterson sanga mania do you want to get another pitcher
01:36are you worried about clay holmes we're going to talk more about him in hour two because those
01:40innings are starting to pile up in a very quick fashion for him he only had 63 innings the last two
01:46seasons there every single year now he's well into the 90s already so what is that going to look like
01:52by the time we get to august and september so big questions still ahead for the mets but the mets
01:57unlike the cubs have a ton of prospect capital that they can move if a big pitcher becomes available in a
02:02trade
