00:00let's start with an Atlanta Brave pitcher uh he may be on the 15-day IL but I think that's just

00:06I don't even know what the word is I think a 60-day IL and you could say goodbye to this

00:10pitcher but I'll let you take it from here yeah look it's a torn UCL for AJ Smith-Shauver and

00:16that is uh the end of his season and most of next season too probably I mean we'll see how long he

00:23will take to rehab and come back it's a shame too he was right at the top of that list for

00:27naturally rookie of the year and I feel like we were just having this conversation uh at one point

00:32which is at any given moment one of these can change right an injury changes the whole dynamic

00:37of a race for these awards and here we go just a week later we're right back in that spot here and

00:42um it's unfortunate uh AJ has pitched pretty well here for the Atlanta Braves and as I mentioned

00:46before now it's a matter of where do you go next and I don't think you can go back to the Bryce

00:51Elder well again he just keeps beating around the ballpark uh you're gonna have to go out there and

00:56make a deal especially because Ronaldo Lopez got hurt too so they're down a couple starters right

01:01now and I'm sure I'm so confident that Strider is going to get back to being Strider sooner than

01:06later but I believe he's going for AJ Smith-Shauver this brace procedure too which you're doing a lot

01:12more of now uh so it's it was obvious that this is what happened to people thought at first that he

01:18had an issue because he got hit by a ball that came back at him and they stayed and I think it was

01:23the very next batter where the pop happened in the elbow and his he had struggled in the previous

01:28start too but people didn't make too much out of it you know ups and downs of baseball you have to

01:32wonder was the elbow bothering him then was he trying to push through it so here we go uh unfortunately

01:37a tough injury here for fantasy managers and again you're looking at guys like Lance McCullers off

01:43the waiver wire you're looking at is Bubba Chandler available hopefully he'll be back uh up or should be

01:48making his debut you would hope sooner than later in the next week or so so um maybe a Kyle Harrison

01:54off the waiver wire potentially those are the kind of pictures you're looking at to somehow patch things

02:00together but this is a huge blow to the Braves and fantasy managers make no mistake about it

02:03to the background the way out and to the background so um but let's go with that.
