00:00Gray, another big injury in baseball this week.
00:02We've lost another starter, A.J. Smith-Shauver of the Atlanta Braves,
00:05who was the favorite over on FanDuel to win the Rookie of the Year.
00:11The Braves do get Ronald Acuna back, and Spencer Schroeder is now back too.
00:16They definitely need more offense from Riley, who had a home run this week,
00:21and Olsen, and definitely Michael Harris.
00:24Gray, do you think the Braves still have all these fantasy commodities
00:27like they have the last couple of years?
00:29It does feel like another season where they're kind of fighting through
00:33these wacky injuries again, and, you know, based on where Schauver was,
00:38Smith-Shauver was taken in fantasy draft boards,
00:40he's not going to be able to replace a guy like that that was drafted,
00:43and now you don't get anything from him the rest of the year.
00:46Right. Yeah, no, I know. It was pretty disappointing.
00:49It was also, like, he was on the mound, and he was shaking his arm for a pitch or two,
00:54and it was like, is Brian Snicker, the manager, is he watching the game?
00:59I know he didn't watch the game earlier when Jared Kalanick was not running out a double.
01:06So I don't know really how much the Snicker, maybe Snicker likes to, like,
01:10he doesn't want to do spoilers, so he's, like, back at the clubhouse after the game,
01:14and he's like, whoa, first pitch. This is cool. Yeah, you know, I feel like the Braves,
01:21now two years in a row, like, last year we were saying that, you know, they were underperforming,
01:27and it's like Acuna got hurt, Albies got hurt, Harris got hurt, Harris always gets hurt,
01:34Murphy was hurt. So it was like, okay, so it was a down year because of injuries,
01:39and they underperformed, and, you know, everyone bought back in in March this year
01:45because it was like, okay, this is going to be the bounce back for everyone.
01:48Everyone's coming back. Acuna's going to be healthy. Albie's going to be healthy.
01:52So, you know, we're now, what, a couple months in, and everyone looks healthy,
01:57but not really that good anymore. I don't know. It's a weird year for the Braves
02:03because Olsen, he seems to have gotten old. Riley has just sort of plateaued at this 27 home over
02:13the course of 162. He looks like a 27 homer, five steal, 270 hitter, which is fine, but it's also
02:22very replaceable considering where you're drafting him in the top 25, 30. You know, really a bright spot
02:30has been Drake Baldwin, who has sort of taken over for Sean Murphy, and he's been catching,
02:36you know, most days, and he looks good. You know, Drake Baldwin's a surprise, but most of the guys,
02:42like Ozzie Albies, looks disappointing. Acuna just came back. I mean, he looked great in his two games.
02:48The first two games, he came back. I'm sure he's going to be fine. You know, hopefully, knock on wood.
02:54Azunia, Marcel Azunas even sort of looked a little bit less than he looked last year,
02:59unfortunately. He was really good last year, so I'm not going to take that away from him, but
03:04yeah. I mean, the Braves just haven't really performed that well. You know, I have high hopes
03:11still for Albies because I think he's still got power. He's still got speed. He looks healthy.
03:18I like Albies still. I still like Acuna. I'm a little bit down on Matt Olsen because of the age,
03:25and I'm a little bit down on Austin Riley just because, I mean, Austin Riley looks like he is
03:30what he is, but that isn't that amazing for fantasy, so I think Austin Riley's actually name
03:37value is a bit more than his actual fantasy value right now.
03:43Greg, got about a minute here. How do you approach our top rookies still in the minor leagues?
03:47Cag Leone, Roman Anthony, Bubba Chandler. Do you want to strike early in fab before their prices go up
03:53here, or do you not want to waste a roster spot for, you know, a week, two, three, a month,
03:57whatever it might be here? How are you approaching top guys?
04:01Yeah, if you have room, I would be stashing those guys right now. Bubba Chandler, I don't know if you
04:06mentioned him, but I would be stashing Chandler. I'd be stashing Anthony. I'd be stashing Jack Cag Leone.
04:12I think possibly, like Roman Anthony could be a top 50 player immediately when he gets called up.
04:21Cag Leone looks like he's got great power. I'm also very interested in him, and Chandler potentially
04:27could be maybe a number three. You know, rookie pitchers are really sort of like iffy when they
04:34first come up, so I'm a little bit less so on the rookie pitchers, but rookie hitters, I'm all about.
04:39If you can cash them, get in now. I love them all.
