00:00WWJ's Luke Sloan here in southwest Detroit this morning we're right in front of us you can see a little blue structure that just looks like a metal base but believe it or not at one point that was the crane that went hundreds of feet up in the air helping to build the Gordie Howe International Bridge which will be done soon so the crane is being taken down and it's one of the final milestones before the bridge actually opens over across the Detroit River on the Canadian side they used to have a crane over there that was red of course for Canada and this one over here is
00:29you see the base is blue for the United States side that one got taken down in May this one right here the US one will be taken down here by the end of the week but this almost six billion dollar project this beautiful majestic Gordie Howe International Bridge it'll be wrapped up pretty soon here just a few months I think September or October but crews are busy putting the finishing touches on the bridge and wow is it a gorgeous morning here in southwest Detroit the water is so still the bridge is so beautiful what a majestic piece of engineering and such signs of progress here
