Transcript
00:00Daryl and Horn with WWJ.
00:01I'm still standing outside of this PNC bank on Northwestern Highway in Southfield.
00:06And we just got some more information from Southfield Police Chief Elvin Barron.
00:11Now he tells me that the man who robbed of this place is a 55 year old Southfield resident.
00:17When he walked in, he demanded cash and he walked in with an ax in his hand.
00:22Now after getting the cash, he struck one of the tellers in the head with an ax at this bank here.
00:29Now she is going to be okay.
00:30She's listed as stable unconscious right now, according to Chief Barron.
00:34But for several hours, you could see some of the tellers who work here just visibly upset that this took place.
00:41You can tell it was very, very traumatic for all of them who witnessed all of this, but no one else was hurt.
00:49Like I mentioned, he was arrested.
00:50The 55 year old was arrested on Joy Road and Greenfield around 1.30 this afternoon, Tuesday afternoon.
00:58But obviously this bank is going to be closed for the rest of the day.
