WWJ's Tim Pamplin reports from Macomb County, Michigan, where storms that barreled through on June 18, 2025, left road, parking lots and people in feet of flood waters.
Transcript
00:00This is WWJ reporter Tim Pamplin up at 19 in Garfield. This flooding situation has gotten really bad.
00:07This parking lot of this medical center here completely flooded out. Just witnessed a mother carrying her child through this flood water to their car.
00:14It's not just the parking lots, it's roads as well all over the east side of Metro Detroit. Roads are flooded.
00:21Not easy to get through. In fact, some tow trucks are getting caught in the floodwaters.
00:25I just spoke to a gentleman over at the subdivision off of 18 in Garfield, completely underwater as they're trying to tow these vehicles out.
00:32And they said that this was going to be the light stuff, the heaviest stuff coming this evening.
00:36Doesn't bode well. We'll keep you updated on WWJ Newsradio 950.
