00:06So Dave, can you just say what this Neighbourhood Policing Guarantee will mean in Hartlepool?
00:11Certainly. So just for everyone to know, the Neighbourhood Policing Guarantee is a national initiative that's being launched by the government,
00:17which will outline a number of commitments that police forces are making to local communities.
00:22For Cleveland generally, this is going to be more officers on the beat and more accessible, the ability to access and speak to your Neighbourhood officers on a more regular basis.
00:34For Hartlepool specifically, this will be building on the really strong Neighbourhood Policing Team that we've had in Hartlepool for a number of years,
00:43who are out there right now working with communities tackling crime and social behaviour problems that are affecting people's quality of life.
00:50Through the Neighbourhood Guarantee, over the next 12 months, you will see additional police officers and PCSOs working in Hartlepool,
00:58including a small team dedicated to Hartlepool Town Centre, working with businesses and retailers to deal with the issues that are affecting them
01:06and to reduce attack of crime in Hartlepool Town Centre, making it a safer place for people to live, work and visit and become the vibrant town that you know Hartlepool is.
01:17I think it's going to be amazing. I think it's a really important part of my police and crime plan.
01:22We're going to get named officers for every ward in Cleveland.
01:24We're going to make sure that people can contact them when they need them, get in touch with them and get a response between 6 and 2 hours.
01:30We're going to get back to that real Neighbourhood Policing so you know who your officer is and you've got that connection to your community.
