00:00Bristol Rovers have announced the signing of Alfie Kilgore, a player who spent much of his youth career at the Memorial Stadium,
00:08but then, following several loan moves, moved away from the club in 2023.
00:12Now, however, he is back with a point to prove.
00:15Obviously feels absolutely amazing. Of course, this place is my home.
00:21So, yeah, it's good to be back home and fresh start, new beginnings and some might say a bit of unfinished business.
00:28So it's good to be back.
00:30Yeah, what made you want to come back to the club?
00:32Obviously, lots of reasons. The club's ambitious. It's a massive club. Definitely shouldn't be in League Two.
00:38See the gaffer, Darrell, coming back. He was obviously the one that gave me my first professional contract at 17.
00:44So that was a big draw in the facilities, the fan base, everything. It's a massive club and it was my home for a long time,
00:51from the age of eight to 24. So, yeah, many are draws. Many are good people at this club that I want to reconnect with.
00:58And from a personal point of view, it's a fresh start for me. You know, I give 110%.
01:05And Bristol City continue to ramp up their transfer business ahead of the new championship season, confirming the signing of Joe Lumley.
01:13He is looking forward to joining his teammates in pre-season, ahead of what should be an exciting season.
01:20Delighted to be here. Can't wait to get started. Can't wait to sort of get on the training pitch and meet the new manager, meet the lads and, yeah, get ready to start the pre-season.
01:34What appeals to you about Bristol City? Why have you signed here?
01:37Obviously, last season, you guys had a great season. Hopefully, I can come in and help the lads to push that a step further.
01:46Heard some great things about the club. Obviously, an amazing training ground, a new manager, clean slate for everyone.
01:55So, yeah, everything really. It was a sort of no-brainer to sign it.
02:00You've signed at the perfect time, just a day before pre-season testing started. Does it feel good to get it done early?
02:06Yeah, definitely. Yeah, because you want to be in straight away. You want to be in training. You want to be in doing the testing, showing what you're all about.
