00:00Daryl Clarke believes that he is better equipped as a coach now in his second period as Bristol Rovers manager ahead of the new season.
00:10A lot changes I think as you go through the games and different clubs I've managed. I think I've grown as a manager. I still feel that leadership, I'm still doing leadership courses and still got more progress to make on that.
00:26But for me, a lot more experienced, obviously managed big games, managed big games when I was here.
00:31So a lot of experience and know-how is the things that you pick up.
00:38Working with different owners and different football clubs is different challenges, but more experienced to be able to cope with many situations now.
00:48Of course, it was a disappointing season for Rovers last year. What are your hopes and ambitions?
00:53First of all, the club's in mourning. I know this club obviously very well. The fans are hurting, no doubt. People in and around the building are hurting. Understandable because they've let the supporters down.
01:06And following him signing a new contract at Bristol City, Cameron Pring has made clear that last season was a personal highlight for him during his time so far at Bristol City and that he wants to achieve more success at the club.
01:19I think last season. I think obviously you have the FA Cup runs and stuff like that, but last season getting to the playoffs, but it gives you a little bit of bite to try and progress more and go one further, really.
01:35And how do you reflect on that campaign as a whole? Because you're right, it did have ups and downs, even though it did eventually get to the playoffs.
01:41It was a really, really frustrating end to it. But I think all of the boys can sort of be proud of where we got to.
01:49We've come a long way in the years that I've been a first team player here, sort of progressed every single year.
01:56So hopefully, like I said, we can do one better next year and go again.
02:00And personally, how hard did you have to work to get back for the playoffs?
02:04I mean, we didn't think we were going to see you, but you did really well in your rehab and got back playing.
02:09Yeah, it was quite tough. It was a tough one to take when I got injured, really.
