In southern England, Wales and parts of Northern Ireland it will be cloudy with the odd isolated patch of light rain possible. Elsewhere it will be rather sunny. In the afternoon the cloud moves northeastwards, which leads to sunnier skies appearing in southern England then, meanwhile rain approaches northwestern Scotland. - This is the Met Office UK Weather forecast for the morning of 29/06/2025. 00:00Good morning, welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office. It was a very
00:04warm start to the weekend for many of us. Those temperatures are going to continue to
00:08rise over the next couple of days but it will still be quite a cloudy start across parts
00:12of Wales, perhaps south-west England too this morning. Some outbreaks of patchy rain and
00:16drizzle across any high ground. We'll eventually see some showers feeding into parts of Northern
00:20Ireland too and some longer spells of rain across north-west Scotland. But elsewhere,
00:24generally a dry afternoon to come. Plenty of sunny spells and sunshine on offer as we
00:28head through the afternoon. Perhaps some lighter winds across much of England and Wales through
00:32Sunday afternoon compared to Saturday. But temperatures will still be really quite warm
00:36across the south-east. 28, 29, 30, potentially even 31 degrees. And across the north and the
00:42west feeling a little warmer than it did on Saturday too, with temperatures in the low
00:46or mid-twenties. As we then go through Sunday evening, any showers that we see across parts
00:52of Northern Ireland gradually easing overnight. Still staying a little cloudier across parts
00:56of Scotland. Some patchy rain and drizzle over any high ground. Across much of England and Wales
01:00though, that cloud thinning out and plenty of clear spells into the early hours of Monday morning. We
01:05eventually see a weather front though arriving across parts of Northern Ireland, so turning a
01:09little cloudier here. But despite any clear spells that we do see, it's going to be another very mild
01:13night to come. Temperatures across the south holding up well into the high teens in places. And even
01:19across the north, a milder night than we've seen recently, around 16 or 17 degrees in places. So quite a muggy, quite
01:26humid start. Some uncomfortable sleeping conditions and quite a muggy start to the new working week.
01:32So starting on Monday then, quite a cloudy start across parts of Northern Ireland, western parts
01:36of Scotland. That weather front continues to push its way north and eastwards, bringing some perhaps
01:40quite heavy rainfall as we head towards Monday afternoon. Across much of England and Wales though,
01:45generally staying dry here. Plenty of sunshine and blue skies on offer. But with those light
01:49southerly winds, that does mean temperatures are on the up. Peaking on Monday or Tuesday around 33,
01:5534, potentially 35 degrees. But even outside of that southeast corner, we could see temperatures
02:01into the high 20s across much of England and Wales, and even across Northern Ireland and Scotland,
02:06once again reaching into the low, perhaps mid 20s. It will be feeling really quite warm and muggy
02:11across much of the country, and especially if you're stuck underneath that cloud and rain further north.
02:17As I mentioned, we could see similar temperatures as we go on to Tuesday, 34, potentially 35 degrees.
