00:00live is back this week taking quite a few weeks off we haven't seen the live guys since before

00:05the u.s open but in dallas uh to get themselves back cooking so that means of course brady cannon

00:11is with us as always before the live events brady great to see you as always my man as a collective

00:18we have all been doing very well uh here the past couple of weeks and then you got we were just

00:24talking about it you had some uh some hot picks for first round leader this morning that

00:29unfortunately just came up short i mean putnam you had in there victor perez you had in there

00:35you had a bunch of guys but unfortunately minwoo lee clipped you yeah i know he got me with a 30

00:41foot bomb of a putt on his final hold now aldrich potkitar might might clip minwoo lee he's probably

00:48going to get to at least nine under maybe he'll get to ten uh and it makes sense a big hitter like

00:53him on this golf course uh but yeah i woke up this morning and saw perez and putnam both tied for

00:59the lead i was off to a good start but oh well close but no cigar it looks like and uh i know

01:05that i saw some of your picks from last night i know that we're all uh usually when we're all

01:10reading the same mail it's a good thing uh but not the best start we were all on cameron young

01:15this week i mean believe me not just us i mean everybody everybody's on cameron yeah very popular

01:21uh yeah this week but only one under through 11 uh here in the afternoon wave uh right now for cam

01:29young and you know for when you look at these scores brady i mean there's tons of guys six under

01:35seven under eight under that's not encouraging for us to cam young on a big scoring day is only one

01:40under through eleven well it's not a day when you want to make bogeys and i think he just made

01:46one because he had it to two i believe i thought he had it to two under he was going the right

01:51direction uh and so that looks bogeyed 11 okay yeah i mean this this is not the type of tournament

01:57where you can really afford to make too many bogeys here we'll see how he can uh perform here over his

02:03last seven holes but you know we talked about pokey tar um i think the course is perfect for cam young

02:09too and you know you guys all drank the kool-aid you all joined forces on keegan bradley last week

02:15and it worked out i hope i i wanted to join the party with you this week we're all four on uh on cam

02:21young i i wasn't buying in because we know this guy infamously has finished runner-up seven times

02:28um but it just feels like the timing might be right here i i would be surprised mike if if he's not

02:34in the mix i you got to believe he's going to finish top 10 if not better maybe he can chip us

02:40a couple of birdies here uh brady may get to get to like three and then he can go out early tomorrow

02:46morning and maybe he gets a good side of the early side and he can do some damage uh on that place uh

02:52let's get to live now of course we're going back to dallas marido uh golf club which has been there

02:57i think opened in 2017 uh they were there last year for the team championship is when

03:04live played in dallas tell us a little bit about this course brady yeah it's a big boy course it's

03:10almost 7600 yards it is a par 72 and you're right the team competition was there at marido in dallas

03:20carrollton texas about 20 minutes north of dallas what have you uh ripper gc the contingent of

03:27australians won the team competition there last year interesting note about the golf course though

03:33it is the home course for the university of north texas the green wave and a couple of live members

03:40carlos ortiz and sebastian munoz uh went to north texas and played this golf course in college so

03:46they're familiar with this track and it was munoz at the team competition last year who had the low

03:53round of the tournament shot a 64 here and what i've read about the course as big as it is

04:00apparently there is a little bit of a premium on accuracy you got to be able to find fairways here

04:05you got to be able to hit greens and regulation and that's another part of it when you're not

04:10hitting greens and regulation you got to be able to scramble so you know we don't have as much data

04:15or as much history on the live circuit as we do with the pga tour so i just honed in on driving

04:22accuracy greens and regulation and scrambling this week yeah uh and that's uh something to look at

04:29that's for sure i know that when we get to the picks which we're going to now i'm with you on

04:33munoz uh for several reasons uh and price being one of them too because as we look at our big board

04:38as we always do brady before these live events it's the same guys at the top every week and they're

04:44always extremely chalky with rom and bryson uh and joaquin neiman tyrell hatton so we try to find some

04:52guys a little bit further down that maybe can bust out and it seems like anyone you know munoz is as good

04:58as any of those shots brady with how he's been playing absolutely and i'm 100 with you i i almost

05:05went with both short shots i almost took bryson and rom but you know ultimately i left bryson off

05:12i did go with rom you know he's never not finished top 10 in his live career 20 straight top 10 finishes

05:19he probably mike would have won the u.s open if he if his putter was just lukewarm he could not make a putt

05:27but he played beautifully t to green i think he's the second best player in the world right now

05:32went with rom and then yeah you're right you know i it's i mean you got 50 guys in the tournament right

05:38and rom is probably the best player on this circuit uh followed by dechambeau and then neiman i mean

05:45it's like 10 guys are so much better than the rest of the field but yeah i went down the board a little

05:51bit munoz is one of those guys like you talk about i was able to find 29 i think 25 is pretty

05:57much a consensus number on munoz we talk about the familiarity with the course the low 64 round

06:04last year and this guy what what i was mentioning as far as the skill sets second on live and driving

06:10accuracy sixth and birdies sixth and greens and regulation 14th and putting he's the joaquin neiman

06:16of the top 10 finish four times out of eight live events this season he's finished top 10

06:22yeah he's been good i act the best i could find this morning was 22 on munoz in new york uh that was

06:28the best number i can get so you got a good number with him you got a good number on gooch too uh

06:32brady i know you're on him as well yeah i i i stumbled across that number and and i i don't know

06:39what it means i don't know if i made a mistake i mean i'm seeing basically 30 this morning yeah i

06:46i've seen 35 or whatever and and i got this 50 i'm like oh my gosh and and i don't like taylor

06:52gooch i i think he's kind of made an ass out of himself with some of his comments since going over

06:57to the live but you know what the guy's playing pretty darn well right now second in driving accuracy

07:02on the circuit tied with munoz third and scrambling 13th and greens and regulation and the form

07:09is starting to come around last four starts 12th 13th third and 10th so we'll see if he's uh ready

07:16to win again so you're obviously going with rom you're going with munoz and you're going with

07:21gooch i have one of those guys as well i'm gonna go with munoz as well i'm taking bryson you were

07:26back and forth i can only take one heavy chalk just like you brady there's only one that i can take

07:31bryson's kind of a home game for him it's like 20 minutes from his house in dallas as well so i'll go

07:37there and sergio this is a storyline too this week i think brady i think this is the last cutoff

07:43those guys who aren't exempt for the open there's that one spot right that can go to a live player

07:49and sergio and munoz are kind of the two guys who are kind of closest to it so i think we might get a

07:55little gas from those guys too brady uh being in that and speaking of uh the open live is at valderrama

08:01the week before the open championship where sergio won last year as well so we'll make sure to get

08:07that one in a few weeks brady cannon with a living talent
