00:04the pga tour and uh and brady we're gonna get through two days of this and boy i gotta tell

00:10you the leaderboard looks really familiar completely unfamiliar from the u.s open the

00:16week before but it's like all the betters who took all the big names last week may end up

00:22cashing in this week i'm seeing scotty scheffler near the top i'm seeing rory mcelroy near actually

00:27scheffler at the top roy mcelroy near the top and so i mean anybody who roots for chalk i guess is

00:33going to get their way this week yeah and patrick cantley making a move as well he was one of my

00:39picks last week who narrowly missed the cut unfortunately but you're right uh the stars

00:44are showing up here early uh wyndham clark even showing up now he has gotten off to good starts

00:51uh on a few different occasions so far this season i would not be surprised if he fell off though

00:57he has not had a great year at all and a lot of times these hot starts have not ended well so be

01:03interesting to see what he can pull off the the real thing that is going on today is the wind i did not

01:09see this in the forecast craig but we've got about 20 percent of the field remember there's only 72

01:15players out here and now there's 71 because justin spieth withdrew yesterday due to injury and we've got

01:23over 20 percent of the field right now that is over par there's some pretty serious wind in the

01:28cromwell connecticut area we're seeing steady you know 15 to 18 miles an hour and i'm seeing in the

01:34forecast gusts are possible all the way up to 40 miles an hour siwoo kim is really struggling he's five

01:41over gary woodland is five over so you know i mentioned yesterday on game time decisions with kevin

01:48at minus 140 i didn't think scotty believe it or not was a bad bet at this point because he's such a

01:54good front runner but with this wind i'd probably wait this out and because things could go any dick

02:00any direction at this point with this weather uh that i didn't know about coming into today

02:05yeah big names at the top let's uh go to the reverse side those are the players who are doing well

02:10let's talk about one who is not uh i'm looking just at the leaderboard just like you brady and you're

02:15watching it closer than me but i see ludwig oberg who is among the top five in terms of favorites i

02:20believe he is over par at this point um so you know i don't know what the thought process is on

02:25taking some of these guys to advance and move forward but am i correct by saying there is a

02:30cut today is that accurate or not no there's no cut so that's you know i think to the better's

02:36advantage we can kind of let this day play out and see what happens because this weather is pretty

02:43gnarly with these winds you know i i think steady around 18 miles an hour and you're gonna get some

02:49gusts i mean guys are already struggling scotty talked about it yesterday that you know there could

02:54be it's not as easy as it looks you know that's i guess a pretty stock scotty scheffler line um but i

03:01would probably just wait this out the the weekend is not calling for heavy wind you're seeing like less

03:07than 10 miles an hour on saturday and then maybe right around 10 miles an hour on sunday that's

03:13not going to affect a professional golfer too much so i might just sit on my hands and not

03:19hit submit uh for a few hours today because this could go a number of different directions you

03:24mentioned obert you know he missed the cut at the u.s open he won uh back at the genesis invitational

03:31in february when they held it at tory pines and that's a huge win for him on a big time golf course

03:37but he really has not threatened ever since his iron play has been down and i'm really waiting for

03:43him to rebound because i love the kid but he's in a little bit of a slump right now yeah there's no

03:49doubt about that all right a couple of minutes to go uh brady's podcast is getting ready to launch

03:54again ahead of the upcoming nfl season i know the contests are taking in a ton of money brady and here we

04:01go we are essentially a little bit over a month away from the first nfl preseason game and a little

04:06bit more than that to get to the college football season how are you feeling as we are closing in on

04:13what i think for us is probably the most exciting time of the year yeah yeah i'm starting to uh get

04:18everything all the ducks in a row to get the football contest show going once again it'll be airing

04:24here on sports grid our first episode will be 20 or excuse me august 22nd uh we will be doing that

04:31from radio row at circa sports in las vegas they have a whole kickoff weekend for contest signups

04:39and preseason football and that'll be about three weeks after bet bash so they're gearing up as well

04:45and we'll do that first show on august 22nd from there and then that'll be the first of 21 episodes

04:51throughout the season um derrick stevens at circa introduced the grandissimo this year the survivor

04:57contest with a 100 000 entry fee and over at the westgate they've got a 5 000 survivor and a college

05:05football contest as well so contest going crazy here in las vegas great to catch up brady with you
