00:00of course live golf is back this week we've been off for a little while with

00:07live golf but it does return for the individual championship they are in

00:12Chicago at bowling brook with the final one they'll have a team event also that

00:17they have to get to so only two events left on the live calendar Brady Cannon

00:21has been with me pretty much all season with the live golf and we have had a

00:26very good season with live myself and Brady Brady's done probably a little bit

00:31better than me we both have had a bunch of winners we've done very good with

00:34live golf this year Brady it is great to see you as we head to Chicago for the

00:39individual championships it's funny we were just talking during the break about

00:44the PGA's playoff and how they kind of do things and how they get to the tour

00:48championship I was reading a little bit more about what is at stake for some of

00:54these guys at live this week and it and they have a season-long points list

00:58kind of a lot of PGA but you know there's gonna be a first second and

01:02third that gets decided this week but Brady there's also like they got this

01:06new thing this year where the top 24 guys spots are secured 25 through like

01:1245 are like free agents but they're still gonna be in live next year the

01:17bottom seven guys get chopped and they have to fight their way back in there's

01:22actually quite a few things at stake for pretty much everybody that's gonna be

01:25playing this weekend yeah you gotta hand it to him it's pretty darn cool you're

01:30right they call it's like the the Euro Soccer League they call it being

01:34relegated you know if you don't make the final I think you got to make the top 48

01:38or you're relegated but you're right the top three individuals here and you know

01:44the the two guys that are in the biggest you know the frontrunners for that top

01:49spot individually are John Rahm and Joaquin Neiman Rahm has really been

01:54very consistent throughout the entire season a top-10 finish in every event

01:59Neiman's been a little bit hot and cold the last couple of months but started

02:04out guns a-blazin he won two events very early and that's why he's still very

02:09high in the points but yeah you know I mean right now it's obviously very very

02:16young in its inception but at this point I think you would say it's a

02:20better system than what the PGA Tour has they kind of have less to work with and

02:24maybe in this case less is more that could be the case and Rahm's been top

02:2910 in every event this year which is why he's got a couple of points on Neiman

02:34who did win two of the first three events on the schedule Hatton is in

02:37third right now as they head to Chicago this week Brady as you usually like to

02:42do tell me a little bit about Bolingbrook where Liv has been before of

02:46course DeChambeau won here last year they played here the last couple of

02:50years tell me a little bit about this course about 30 miles just south of

02:53Chicago well it's not surprising that DeChambeau is your defending champion as

02:59far as this golf course goes because I think this is absolutely a bomber's

03:03paradise this was built you know in the 90s or so like you say 30-40 minutes out

03:09of Chicago and you know a common theme during those days was met let's make a

03:14link style design well that just meant you know putting some mounding and some

03:19contours in the fairways and throwing some native grasses around to kind of

03:23give it a little bit of a European look but the truth is these are very wide

03:27fairways without much rough it's a short golf course and guys like DeChambeau and

03:33the bombers can absolutely overpower this place I talked to some people that

03:38live in the Chicago area and are very surprised that this is even you know

03:43being used as a professional tour event type course they didn't feel it was

03:47really up to par as far as that goes and that the guys would just tear this place

03:52apart so I think that will continue we'll see the bombers flourish here like

03:58I say the fairways are wide you've got a little bit undulation the greens are

04:02pretty big and flat bent grass greens and it's 7100 yards a par 72 I think

04:09these guys will turn this into a birdie fest there's a couple of par fives where

04:13guys are going to be looking at Eagles a couple of par fours that are drivable so

04:18it is a little surprising to hear that you know Chicago is such an incredible

04:23area for golf courses and some of these guys were very surprised that they chose

04:27this track of everything that was possibly available to use for a live

04:31event well it sounds like all like you say all these guys who are fighting to

04:36stay in all of these positions getting the top 25 etc they're gonna have to

04:41rack them up get the birdies flowing this week in Chicago if they're hoping

04:46to stick around let's start Brady with your card tell me who you're backing

04:50this week live golf in Chicago you know I went right to the top Mike I think John

04:56Rahm is clearly the best player on this tour and the fact that there's not that

05:01many players on this tour you know so there's 54 guys in the tournament how

05:06many guys can really win it maybe it's 15 of them so Rahm is probably the best

05:11player of a group of 15 16 guys and he has been for the last couple of months

05:16he just comes off of a loss in a playoff to Brooks Koepka in August had a win

05:21back in England right after the Open Championship so I think Rahm is you know

05:26head and shoulders above the rest and it's reflected in the odds as well he's

05:30in the neighborhood of five to one the next closest guy is twice the price in a

05:35DeChambeau or a Hatton or something like that so Rahm was really the guy I looked

05:40at he's number one on the tour in birdies he's number one on the tour and

05:45greens and regulation he's sixth and driving distance and he's sixth in

05:49putting and I think those are probably the most important categories this week

05:53so I like Rahm I went to the chalk and then again the other guy that's probably

05:57been the hottest player the last couple months is Tyrell Hatton these guys are

06:01teammates and they have combined for 20 top 10 finishes on the live circuit

06:07Hatton is third and birdies he's third and great greens and regular excuse me

06:11he's third and putting he's 10th and greens and regulation so he Matt he

06:15checks the boxes as far as the stats as well I got him at 12 to 1 and then I

06:20went with Kepka who we know is a guy that can play like a bomber John Rahm

06:25absolutely can play bomber mode we know Kepka can as well his wins that you know

06:30Beth Page and Oak Hill and his win last month at the Greenbrier which I thought

06:35was another course that was perfect for the bombers where we've seen DeChambeau

06:39and Joaquin Neiman do well Xander Shoffley's done well so I think once

06:43again we're going to see the big hitters flourish here and I wanted to go with

06:47the guys that I feel are the best on this circuit Kepka's got reason he still

06:52has a chance to get on that podium for an individual award Rahm as we mentioned

06:57is the frontrunner to win that award and Hatton is currently sitting in third

07:01place so all these guys have reason to try and finish strong I think they're

07:05the best players on the circuit and they're also in good form and I think

07:09they can tear this course apart lending itself to the bomb and gouge style I

07:14think all these guys can play that way this week and like I said it's fairly

07:17chalky but you know it's hard I just didn't see myself going a lot deeper

07:22down the board this week Mike Brady I'm with you honestly I I don't think this

07:26is a week I mean me and you have had a few this year you know whether it was

07:29Brendan Steele or Ortiz we've had some guys maybe a little further down the

07:33board but it feels like as we get to the end here one of these big guys is gonna

07:39win this big individual championship this this event in Chicago it just feels

07:44right for that so I'm with you I like Rahm but I'm gonna go with DeChambeau on

07:49my card to start things off at plus 750 I'm taking Neiman because I think he

07:54wants this you listen to him in some of his interviews this week he's always got

07:58this chip on his shoulder Brady he's always upset about something and he

08:02feels disrespected he's now disrespect he's on the President's Cup team in a

08:07couple weeks so I think he's gonna come out with a big performance of plus 850

08:11Cam Smith won here a couple years ago anytime Cam Smith and live for me Brady

08:15gets under like the 1213 range I think he's a little bit of a go so it's 16 I

08:20caught him at the other day I'm gonna take a shot and Patrick Reid at 25 to 1

08:25he's hanging around 20th he needs to play well he hasn't won this year or the

08:30last two years on live and I feel like Reid I'm gonna that's gonna be the one

08:33little dart throw that I'm gonna take this week Brady
