00:00We've told him that if he can meet our three conditions, that we will support him,

00:04that he has to reduce the welfare budget, that he has to make sure people get into work.

00:08At the moment, the bill doesn't do that. The U-turn makes it even worse.

00:12And they have to commit to not having more tax rises.

00:16None of those things are unreasonable requests.

00:19The chancellor herself said no new tax rises, but we want the prime minister to make those commitments.

00:23And he won't do that. Instead, he's just giving up.

00:26And that's why we're very worried about our ability to pay for defence, about our ability as a country to get anything done.

00:33If they can't solve minor problems, how are they going to deal with the big ones?

00:36During COVID, for understandable reasons, we had remote assessments.

00:40That has continued. It needs to stop.

00:42There are a lot of people who should be at work, who are just ringing up, who are getting benefits that they're not entitled to.

00:47We also need to look at the huge increase in low-level conditions like anxiety.

00:52Many of the new claims are for conditions like that.

00:56The best thing for many of those people is to have a healthy work environment, getting them back into work.

01:00There's a lot that we can do to make sure that those people who really need it,

01:04those people who have those very serious physical conditions,

01:07can get the support they need while getting other people back into work.

01:10That's all we're asking Labour to do, and they wouldn't do that.
