00:00And the Cardinals, Scotty, had the long ball working last night against the Cubbies.
00:06A bunch of homers for them.
00:08Burleson hit one.
00:09But Lars Newtbar got things kicked off.
00:12FanDuel Sportsnet early on in this one.
00:15High fly ball to right field.
00:17Pretty well hit.
00:18Tuck and back.
00:19And it's long gone.
00:22Two-run homer, Lars Newtbar.
00:24Yeah, the Burleson and Donovans were two-run shots.
00:30Gorman hit one as well.
00:32Four home runs.
00:33Season best for the Cardinals.
00:36And Lieber Torre, I thought he pitched well.
00:41Allowed two runs on six.
00:42It struck out five.
00:44And the Cubs have lost four of five all of a sudden.
00:48I actually saw a stat today about the Cubs.
00:52And the Cubs have had a very good season.
00:54There's no doubt about that.
00:55They have smashed all the bad teams.
00:59Smashed them.
01:01They are a couple games under .500 against teams with a winning record.
01:07So teams that have, when the Cubs have played good teams, Scotty.
01:10Now, remember, they did beat the Dodgers those couple times earlier this year.
01:14But other than that, they've been a basically under .500 team against the best teams in baseball.
01:19But they've made their living beating up on everybody else.
01:22Which is what you're supposed to do.
01:23I get it.
01:24But they haven't been great against the other good teams.
01:28Well, I mean, that's something you should take note of as a better.
01:31When they play bad teams, bet on them.
01:33And when they play good teams, like last night, I think the Cardinals have been pretty decent, you know, at the very least.
01:41And I bet on them.
01:42And I got them at .110 yesterday.
01:44I think the Cubs were minus .109 or something like that.
01:47But, you know, I cashed it.
01:50Angels beat Boston last night .9-5.
01:53That was a wild game.
01:54There was a ton of runs scored early in it.
01:56Walker Buehler's ERA is like .7 now.
01:58That has been a disaster.
01:59It was .5-3 in the first.
02:02Yeah, it was .5-3 in the first inning.
02:04Zach Netto, 3-4.
02:06He led off the bottom of the first with a homer for the Angels as well, as he has gotten things going for them.
02:12The Nationals beat the Padres 10-6 last night.
02:15A couple of significant homers for us in this game.
02:19But this guy has been on an absolute tear.
02:22We got to give a little hat tip to the Wood doctor today on Masson.
02:26Wood crushes one to deep right.
02:28If it's fair, it's gone.
02:32Fair ball.
02:33It's out of here.
02:35Just inside the foul pole, James Wood launches again on this road trip.
02:41Well, I mean, how long did it take the guy to figure out that it was a homerun?
02:46I mean, I went out and got a beer.
02:48It was still.
02:50It was like, it was right down that right field line.
02:55It was near the pole.
02:56I guess they had to take like a little bit of a look at it.
02:59But Wood has been unbelievable.
03:03Bell hit one too, right?
03:04I think he hit one.
03:06He hit the highest pitch I've seen that was hit for a homer in like the last 25.
03:11It was above his head and he just went up and he cranked it up into the left field upper deck.
03:17Big homer, a little add-on for Tatis in the ninth was big for me.
03:22Hit a little three-leg lotto for me last night.
03:24So congrats, thank you to Fernando Tatis Jr.
03:27We thought he'd hit one.
03:28We were like Tatis, Manny, and the crown zone.
