00:00Let's continue to react around Major League Baseball.
00:02A couple of former Mets hurdlers on the mound yesterday.
00:06Max Scherzer, his second start of the year,
00:08now for his new team in the Toronto Blue Jays,
00:11made his only start of the year three innings
00:13before leaving with lat soreness back at the end of March,
00:16back on the bump yesterday after nearly three months.
00:20Five innings of work, three earned allowed
00:22since that first start on March 29th.
00:25The Blue Jays, who have been really good as of late,
00:29coughed one up against the Cleveland Guardians,
00:31who walk it off an extra as five to four and ten.
00:34Like, I actually wasn't paying attention as game finished,
00:37so I thought you were reading, like, Scherzer pitch yesterday,
00:40lat soreness going to miss another start.
00:41Like, I mean, brother, give it up at this point.
00:43But yeah, he wasn't, so I was ready for that right off the bat.
00:46But Scherzer, five innings pitch, three earned runs,
00:48trying to work your way back in.
00:50But here's the issue again at hand.
00:52One team, Ben, was the Cleveland Guardians,
00:53four for eight with runners in scoring position,
00:56maximizing your chances here.
00:57Look at the Toronto Blue Jays.
00:59Yes, they played at four runs.
01:00One of ten with runners in scoring position.
01:03Ten men left on base.
01:04That'll get you beat every single time.
