In a heart-wrenching incident from village Dhanana, Haryana, a father named Subhash murdered his own children to remarry after the death of his wife — 17-year-old Basant and 16-year-old Aarushi — by drugging and then strangling them with a wire. The shocking crime took place just a month after the children's mother died by suicide.
Subhash’s younger sister, Suman, has come forward, demanding the death penalty for him. She revealed that Subhash was abusive, had tortured their elderly parents, and his children lived in constant fear of him. Suman also shared that Subhash had previously attempted to kill his own mother and would frequently pick fights over household chores.
The children, both Class 12 students, were known to be bright and respectful. Their lives were tragically cut short on June 8, exactly one month after the death of their mother on May 8.
Subhash was arrested from Rohtak PGI and has now been sent to district jail following court orders. The Mundhal police are investigating further after Subhash’s mother, Meva, lodged a complaint against him.
This tragic case has shocked the community and raised concerns over the mental health and domestic abuse issues that often go unaddressed in families.
