Jaipur – A tragic twist has emerged in the Sahdev Bhakar murder case in Rajasthan’s Nagaur. Karishma Chaudhary, his live-in partner, was found dead by suicide on Tuesday morning at Sahdev’s home. The case had already drawn attention after Karishma accused her own family of murdering Sahdev in what she called an honour killing.
Karishma, a nursing student from Dharana village, had fallen in love with her college teacher, Sahdev, while still a minor. Sahdev, who was already married, filed for divorce after Karishma turned 18. The two entered a live-in relationship and moved across several cities.
In June, Karishma alleged that her family abducted and killed Sahdev. Despite reporting threats and requesting protection, no police security was provided. Now, Karishma’s death has raised serious questions about police inaction and the role of her family.
