Uttar Pradesh – A dramatic incident unfolded in Jamuav village under Karanda police station in Ghazipur, where a married woman was caught with her lover by her husband’s family. The woman and her lover were held hostage, beaten by villagers and in-laws, and then forcibly married.
The lover reportedly pleaded he didn’t want marriage, claiming he was only “passing time,” but the woman was sent away with him. The husband, stunned by the turn of events, remained silent under pressure.
Following the incident, the woman filed a case of hostage-taking and molestation against the in-laws and villagers. Police are investigating the matter.
