00:00Hello, good morning. It's been a bright start out there today for many of us, but we do have some wet and windy weather on the way once again, particularly across England and Wales.
00:09So early morning sunshine tending to fade away as that cloud thickens through the course of the morning.
00:15Here's that wet weather pushing in quite quickly from the west. So Wales, southwestern parts of England turning wet through this morning.
00:21Some heavy bursts of rain developing across the moors of southwest England, the hills of Wales in particular.
00:26But many parts of England and Wales and parts of northern Ireland seeing some rain by this afternoon.
00:30So not very pleasant at all with that rain. The wind's really starting to pick up as well from a southwestly direction.
00:36So some gales around the coast across the Irish Sea in particular in southwest England.
00:41So despite temperatures quite close to average here, 15 to 17 degrees, it's not going to feel very pleasant whatsoever.
00:47Quite a cool day for northern Ireland as well after a fairly chilly start.
00:50Perhaps the best of sunshine though across northern parts of Scotland.
00:53But here we will have some blustery showers and winds gusting 30 to 40 miles an hour as well.
01:00A slight improvement as we go through this evening.
01:03So this band of rain starting to clear away to the east, but dragging its heels a little bit across southern counties of England.
01:08So a little bit of uncertainty as to exactly when that will clear.
01:11But generally speaking through the course of tonight, turning drier, some clear spells developing.
01:16And that does mean it will turn into a fairly cool night across northern parts of Scotland in particular.
01:20So temperatures getting down to low single figures, perhaps so enough for a touch of grass frost in some of the glens there.
01:26But generally speaking, a pretty mild night and those winds easing down too.
01:30Bit of a cloudy start for many parts of England and Wales on Wednesday morning.
01:33And this band of showers just pushing away slowly to the south.
01:37Otherwise, a much brighter and drier day is on offer tomorrow compared to today for the vast majority.
01:43There will be some scattered showers, but many of these will be fairly hit and miss.
01:47So you've got a good chance of staying dry.
01:49Perhaps the best of the sunshine is around some of these western coasts of England and Wales, southwest England.
01:54But a few sharp showers are possible, particularly across more northern parts of the UK.
01:59With those lighter winds, a bit more in a way of sunshine, it should feel a bit warmer tomorrow for many of us.
02:04Highs in the high teens Celsius and perhaps a few places getting to 20 or 21 degrees.
