00:00Hello, here's your latest weather update from the Met Office. I'm Marco Patania. We'll
00:04see a mixed bag of weather as we go through the coming week across the UK, and certainly
00:07through the course of the afternoon, a mixed bag of weather too. Plenty of showers around
00:11towards the north and west of the country, some of those rattling in on quite a brisk
00:14westerly breeze, gauze across some exposed northern areas, and some of the showers towards
00:18the north-west quite heavy, with some hail and thunder in places as well. The further
00:22south and east you go, a lot better in terms of sunshine here, and mostly dry across parts
00:26of the south-east, and here too we'll see the best of the temperatures, up to 20 or
00:3021 Celsius, 21 in London, and Norwich is 70 in Fahrenheit. Feeling cooler towards the north
00:35and north-west with those showers and the brisk breeze, temperatures here generally around
00:38the low to mid-teen Celsius. As we go into the evening and through the overnight period,
00:42further showers will move in across the north and west of the country towards the north-west
00:46again, those showers particularly heavy, accompanied once more by brisk westerly winds with gauze,
00:51especially towards the north of Scotland. So again, it's the south and east of the country
00:54seeing the best of the clear spells, and across the south, temperatures hold up fairly well
00:58in the low to mid-single figures, whereas towards the north we could see a touch of frost with
01:02temperatures down to around freezing in some real spots by Monday morning.
01:06So as for bank holiday Monday then, plenty of a fine weather towards the south and east
01:09to start the day, but those showers out towards the north and west, and those showers are becoming
01:14more widespread as we go through the day from the west, and merging to give some more persistent
01:18outbreaks of rain across those western spots as we go into the afternoon. One or two bursts
01:22of rain here could be quite heavy later in the day. Quite a blustery day once again,
01:26again especially towards the north where local gauze are still possible, and temperatures
01:29generally a little bit down on Sunday's values, peaking at around about 17 or 18 Celsius towards
01:33the south-east, nearer to the low to mid-teens towards the upper part of the country there.
01:39Into the evening, those outbreaks of rain across the west of the UK will tend to migrate their
01:43way eastwards, so most parts will see a pretty wet night unfolding on Monday night, perhaps
01:46the south-east seeing less in the way of showery rain. But with the cloud and rain around,
01:51just should hold up fairly well. That's pretty much it for me, but of course
01:54you can keep tuning to the Met Office forecast by following us on social media, and by subscribing
01:58to our YouTube channel. I'll see you soon, take care, bye bye.
