00:00Hello then, a very good morning to you on this Wednesday morning, which has been muggy overnight across England and Wales.
00:06At the same time, we start the day across Scotland with some fleeting showers, particularly towards the west.
00:11Broken clouds across the Murray Firth, down towards Angus and Aberdeenshire, allowing for some brighter weather.
00:16Similar situation towards borders.
00:18Further west, though, some light showers in the mix for Northern Ireland, Northern England.
00:22And then we run into this thicker cloud and also some patchy rain and drizzle across the southwest,
00:27down towards the west country, as well as southern parts of Wales.
00:30So a damp start here, but notice towards the east, a fine start with some brighter weather, if not some sunshine.
00:36So through the day, with a lighter breeze relative to yesterday, we will see some showers just drift very slowly across the sky.
00:44The clouds will break at times, allowing for some warm sunshine.
00:48Where we see stubborn clouds towards the Midlands, southern parts of Wales, as well as the west country,
00:53at least it will dry up here before a few showers develop across the west country later.
00:58At the same time, notice some showery bursts arriving across the western side of Northern Ireland for the likes of Tyrone, as well as Fermanagh.
01:05Temperatures here through the afternoon, 20 degrees Celsius.
01:08Similar for the central belt of Scotland, but east Wales down towards eastern county of England, 25 to 28.
01:14So feeling very warm indeed, help with some brighter weather, if not some sunshine.
01:18A pleasant evening across many parts before this showery rain arrives through the evening across Northern Ireland, as well as Western Scotland.
01:26The winds will pick up here.
01:28At the same time, showers will brew across the near continent and the Channel Islands.
01:32They could turn thundery overnight as they migrate across eastern counties and further showers likely across Wales, the west country.
01:40And they could push further north as we head through into the early hours of Thursday morning.
01:45So all of this wet weather is moving north eastwards.
01:47The winds will pick up overnight as well.
01:50And watch out for this thundery rain, which could turn heavy in places into the early hours of Thursday morning.
01:55So if you are stepping out first thing on Thursday, watch out for some rain, particularly across Scotland, northern England, some patches further south and southwest.
02:04It's going to be a muggy start as well.
02:06Temperatures holding 16 towards the south.
02:08But notice some brighter skies coming in by around nine o'clock across Northern Ireland.
02:13And then that thundery rain clears the eastern side of England as we head through the morning into the afternoon.
02:19So through the day on Thursday, some brighter skies, but still some showers moving in on a fairly brisk breeze.
02:25And then later on, more cloud arrives towards the west there.
02:28Temperatures then are notched down on today, 19 or 20 in the north, 23 to 25 for the south and southeast.
02:36So that's the picture on Thursday afternoon.
02:39Certainly there will be some showers through Thursday evening just drifting from the west towards the northeast.
02:47And overnight on Thursday, more rain arrives with a stronger wind across more northern and western areas,
02:51extending down towards England and Wales into Friday morning, where it could stall across southern counties.
02:57At the same time, brighter skies elsewhere with some sunshine.
03:00Further showers arrive towards the west.
03:02Temperatures then through Friday look like this.
03:05Coming in probably 21 or 22 for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
03:09And up a notch on Thursday across England and Wales, 25 to 27 degrees Celsius.
03:15It's going to be a windy day wherever you are, quite blustery, but relatively humid and certainly warm for some.
03:22Here's your outlook then through Saturday.
03:24It's a mostly dry scenario.
03:26We'll see a mix of cloud and sunshine, but a legacy of cloud continues across southern counties.
03:31A small chance of a shower here.
03:33Wherever you are, have a lovely day and I'll see you again soon.
