00:00Hello there, good afternoon. After a bright start across the south, I'm afraid sunny skies

00:05will soon be replaced by cloud. That's similar across central areas too. We have a band of

00:10cloud and some light patchy drizzle just sinking its way southwards through the course of the

00:14afternoon. But it's a weakening feature, so any drizzle largely confined to hills and

00:19it is going to be mostly light. A slightly different story across northern areas though,

00:23Scotland, northern parts of England and Northern Ireland. We'll see a brighter afternoon with

00:27sunny spells, not totally dry, still a few showers just skirting the far north of Scotland.

00:32But for many across the north, it's going to be a dry afternoon with warm, sunny spells,

00:37highs of 15, possibly 16 or 17 Celsius where we see that sunshine stick around. And it's

00:42still going to be fairly mild across the south, just a bit cloudy and perhaps a little bit

00:45murky as we head through the evening. Overnight, we'll see any leftover cloud and drizzle eventually

00:52ease its way across the southeast and a ridge of high pressure building, which means we'll

00:56see plenty of clear skies. But with light winds, that means we're likely to see some

01:00mist and fog through the overnight period too, particularly around North Sea coasts,

01:04East Anglia, for example, and parts of the south. This fog could be quite dense at times.

01:07And where we see those clear skies stick around and we don't see any fog form, it's likely

01:11that we'll see some patchy light frost too, mainly in rural areas. So a slightly chillier

01:17start into tomorrow, some mist and fog lurking around across the southeast. It's eventually

01:22clearing by around mid-morning and it leaves a fairly settled day, some sunny spells,

01:27perhaps just some fair weather cloud bubbling up into the afternoon and some more higher

01:31cloud building across the far northwest of Scotland, perhaps western parts of Northern

01:35Ireland just before some rain starts to creep in later into the afternoon. But for most,

01:40a dry day and still temperatures well above average for the time of year, possibly even

01:43reaching 17 or 18 degrees across the southeast. So feeling warm in the sunshine once again.

01:52This area of rain slowly sinking its way further into mainland Scotland, western parts of Northern

01:57Ireland. And that sets us up for later into the week as well, as we start to see a bit

02:01of a change from the northwest. This cold front slowly once again sinking its way southeastwards,

02:06bringing in more cloud and outbreaks of rain later on Thursday. Then a secondary feature

02:10once again bringing further rain, so a more unsettled end to the week and a few more isobars

02:14on the chart too. So it's going to turn fairly breezy and it is just going to bring in some

02:18slightly cooler air behind that cold front too, so temperatures returning more towards

02:21average for the time of year. So enjoy the warm spring sunshine while it's here. For
