Hello there, good afternoon. We got to 19 degrees Celsius yesterday and it's still going
00:05
to be another mild afternoon, but more cloud filling the skies, particularly across northern
00:10
parts of Wales, northern parts of England. This band of cloud and rain slowly edging
00:14
its way northwards. Can't rule out a few showers across the southwest parts of Wales later,
00:19
but for many, even though there's going to be a bit more cloud around, it still should
00:22
remain mostly dry, particularly across parts of the southeast, East Anglia, Sussex and
00:27
Kent. That's likely where we'll see the best of the brightness. Also some sunny spells
00:32
and still some sunshine breaking through that cloud across northern parts of England. And
00:36
taking a look at those temperatures, it is still very mild for the time of year. Highs
00:40
of 16, possibly 17 or 18 Celsius once again, where we see that sunshine stick around. Then
00:46
through into the evening, we'll see this band of cloud and rain once again continue to slowly
00:51
edge its way northwards. That means it's going to be quite a wet start across Scotland as
00:55
we head into the weekend. But for many, most of that cloud clearing away there with clearer
00:59
skies, there is a chance we could see some fog patches by the morning and perhaps a bit
01:03
more cloud across parts of Cornwall. Perhaps a few showers moving through here towards
01:07
the early part of the morning as we find ourselves between two frontal systems. There's plenty
01:11
of mild air still, so it's largely going to be a frost free start to the weekend. Plenty
01:17
of low cloud and murk across Scotland to start on Saturday. Outbreaks of rain still continuing
01:22
to edge their way northwards, moving into the Northern Isles as we head towards the
01:26
afternoon. Still some higher cloud across the southwest, the odd shower, so any sunshine
01:31
turning a little bit milky. But for the majority of the country, dry, bright, even some sunny
01:35
spells and still very mild for the time of year, particularly across northwestern parts
01:40
of England. Highs of 18 or 19 Celsius once again possible. Now, what about for the rest
01:46
of the weekend? Well, we've still got low pressure towards Iberia, still dragging in
01:50
some frontal systems to northern areas, so some cloud here at times. Once again, some
01:55
cloud spilling into the south at times, too. But for many, we still remain in that milder
02:00
air, so a mild night to come. A mild start to Sunday and once again, lots of dry weather
02:04
around, lots of sunshine, so very settled end to the weekend. Still, though, those outbreaks
02:10
of rain lingering on across northern parts of Scotland, perhaps the odd heavier burst
02:14
here, but once again, very mild for the time of year. Highs once again could possibly reach
02:19
18 to 19 Celsius, where we see the sunshine for the longest, particularly across central
02:24
and southeastern parts. Now, if you're a fan of the milder weather and the sunshine, well,
02:29
now's the time to enjoy it. High pressure around Iceland drags in a bit more of a northerly
02:33
flow across the country, so drags in colder air as we head into next week. So a good chance
02:38
we could see some sleet or snow showers, particularly across high ground, and likely we'll see a
02:42
return of the overnight frost. So this weekend is the chance to enjoy the sunshine and the
02:47
warmer weather. Bye bye.
