00:00Hello there, good evening. It was a much brighter day for many this afternoon. Plenty of sunny

00:05spells in places, but I'm afraid there is more rain on its way, leading to quite a damp

00:09start for the Easter bank holiday weekend for some. And we'll start to see that change

00:13as we head through into this evening and overnight, an area of low pressure dragging in some clouds,

00:18some outbreaks of rain at first across parts of Devon and Cornwall, Northern Ireland, and

00:22eventually stretching its way into Wales too. It could be turning fairly blustery under

00:26this area of cloud and rain too, with some heavy outbreaks of rain possible by morning.

00:30But elsewhere, it's going to be largely dry, plenty of clear skies. That means temperatures

00:34dipping away, though. It could be fairly chilly by the morning, perhaps even seeing some mist

00:37and fog in places. But elsewhere in the west, it's going to be a damp start. And through

00:43the course of Good Friday, we'll see this area of cloud and rain shift its way northeastwards.

00:48Once again, we could see some quite heavy and blustery outbreaks at times, some quite persistent

00:53rain, possibly leading to some travel disruption, possibly even seeing some surface level flooding

00:57as well. But across the far north and far east, it's going to be quite a pleasant day,

01:02perhaps more cloud around than of late, but some sunnier spells across east Anglia, for example.

01:06But it is going to be remaining largely dry, fairly mild too across the far southeast, highs

01:11of 17, possibly 18 degrees Celsius. But where we see the cloud and rain stick around in the west,

01:16those temperatures are going to struggle, so feeling a little bit chillier here.

01:19Later on into the evening and overnight, we do have a rainfall warning issued for parts

01:25of Devon and Cornwall. We could see 50 to 75 millimetres here across Dartmoor, for example.

01:30So do bear that in mind if you're travelling around for the Easter bank holiday.

01:33But more and more areas are going to start to see this cloud and rain, still a chance of some

01:37heavier outbreaks, but still remaining largely dry across the very far east. But with more cloud

01:42around, temperatures aren't going to dip away quite as low, so it's going to be a slightly milder night

01:46compared to the one on its way. Now, it's quite a wet start for many areas

01:52on Saturday, but the good news is most of the rain should be fizzling out through the course

01:56of the morning. Still a chance of some heavier outbreaks in western areas, once again, across

02:00any hills or high ground. But by the afternoon, plenty of dry weather to come. There just might

02:05still be a fair amount of clouds, some quite low cloud at times, particularly across parts

02:10of the northwest, where there's still a chance of some outbreaks of rain. But still fairly mild temperatures,

02:15perhaps just a degree or two lower in some spots. Highs of 15, possibly 16 Celsius, but still fairly

02:21cool across the far north. Temperatures just about moving into the double digits here.

02:27Now, for the rest of the bank holiday weekend, actually Easter Sunday looks largely dry. There

02:32should be plenty of sunny spells around. Good news if you're heading out for an Easter egg hunt. But

02:36notice still low pressure, never too far away, moving its way through later Sunday through into Monday.

02:43But there's still a little bit of uncertainty as towards the direct location and track of this low. So that

02:48means the area of rain where we see that rain, it could change as we head through into Monday. But for more
