Hello there, good morning. Many of us have been enjoying some spring sunshine this week,
00:05
but I'm afraid to say the skies may look a little bit different today. More cloud around,
00:10
particularly across western areas where quite low cloud at times too, so that could bring
00:13
in some murky conditions. Some outbreaks of rain and drizzle slowly shifting their way
00:17
northwards, particularly affecting Wales and northern parts of England. But it's not going
00:21
to be a total washout across much of the south and southeast, largely dry. Even some sunshine
00:26
across parts of East Anglia, Sussex and Ken, and also some sunny spells at times across
00:31
northern parts of Scotland. But for many, a cloudier day on offer. But taking a look
00:36
at those temperatures, they're still widely above average for the time of year. Highs
00:40
of 15 to 16 Celsius, particularly across the southeast. Then through into this evening
00:47
and overnight, we'll see more of this cloud slowly shifting its way northwards, light
00:51
outbreaks of rain and drizzle. That's going to lead to quite a damp start across parts
00:55
of Scotland, perhaps even the odd heavier outbreak as it moves through across higher
00:59
ground and a few heavy showers just starting to skirt their way into parts of Cornwall.
01:04
But for many, it's going to be a largely dry start, quite bright across parts of the south
01:08
and southeast too, and another mild night to come too. Temperatures widely in the mid
01:12
to high single figures. So a wet start across Scotland, some heavy showers across parts
01:19
of Cornwall, but through the course of the morning, any rain or showers largely petering
01:23
out. And for the beginning of the weekend, it's going to be largely dry, largely settled,
01:27
perhaps more in the way of milky sunshine across parts of the west as we see some higher
01:31
cloud build through too, but largely dry and some sunny spells, particularly across parts
01:36
of the south and southeast and still very warm for the time of year. Highs of 16, possibly
01:41
even 17 Celsius where that sunshine sticks around. What about the rest of the weekend
01:48
then? Well, for Sunday, there's still going to be lots of dry weather around. Once any
01:52
rain across the north clears away. And for Monday and Tuesday, high pressure largely
01:56
dominating. So once again, largely dry and settled, perhaps some outbreaks of rain just
02:00
skirting the north on Sunday and Monday. But with high pressure mainly across Iceland,
02:05
that's dragging in a northerly flow. So things are going to be turning chilly as we head
02:09
into next week. So more sunshine, yes, but likely to see some quite cold days and nights
02:14
ahead. Bye bye.
