00:00As fast as she claims to be, I was still able to catch her.
00:03Here's a look at the brand new Boss Fight Studio, Jim Henson's Fraggle Rock.
00:06Back to the Rock, Fraggle Red.
00:19Red is ready for adventure.
00:21Standing about 5 inches tall with 14 points of articulation.
00:25She comes with inspector hat and magnifying glass, whistle and maracas,
00:28as well as alternate heads and hands.
00:30I have a sneaking suspicion that the music's about to play.
00:33Would anybody like to play in the tape measure?
00:37Let's grab the tape measure, yes,
00:38and see how tall the new Boss Fight Studio, Fraggle Rock, Back to the Rock, Red, actually stands.
00:43Then, of course, we'll also bring in the other two Fraggles that we've already had a look at.
00:46If we go right to the very top of her pom-pom hair,
00:48then the figure's going to be standing at 5 inches in height.
00:51That works out, though, to be a figure that's about 13 centimeters tall.
00:55Now, just because Red is the third figure that we've looked at from Fraggle Rock
00:57does not mean that she's my least.
00:59In fact, actually, we've already had a look at both Gobo,
01:02and then we followed up reviews of that with Uncle Traveling Matt.
01:05Red I like equally.
01:06I think she's always been like a fun character in the world of Fraggle Rock.
01:10In the sizing of her, at least, even if you don't include her hair,
01:13she seems a little bit taller than Gobo.
01:15Not quite as tall as Traveling Matt.
01:17Of Red's accessories, the figure first comes included with a pair of maracas.
01:20These can be, of course, displayed inside the figure's hands.
01:27One issue, though, I have with Red,
01:28and it happens not to be the same issue that we've already had with Gobo.
01:31If you've watched my review of Gobo, I hope you have,
01:34you know that he had one issue with his arm.
01:36This one arm right here was always prone to popping off.
01:39Red doesn't have that issue in her shoulders, but she has it in her elbows.
01:43Let's actually go ahead and just plug that back in place here.
01:46Move Gobo out of the way.
01:48Yeah, Fraggle Rock Red.
01:49One issue I really had with the figure isn't so much her shoulders.
01:52Her shoulders move fine, but her arms, elbow-wise, are so tight.
01:56I've gone in here and heated it up as best I thought I could with the hairdryer,
02:01but every time I still try to move her elbows,
02:04what ends up happening, though, as you probably already can see,
02:06is that it ends up popping the peg off.
02:08I mean, look at the size of this peg.
02:10It's so small.
02:11The first time that this happened, I heard,
02:13and I thought, oh, no, oh, no, I didn't break a figure, didn't I?
02:16No, I didn't.
02:17The peg, though, is so small, though,
02:20that you find yourself, when you put pressure against it to bend the elbow,
02:24this joint gives way before the elbow joint bend does.
02:27So every single time it seems that I want to bend the figure's arm,
02:30it pops off frequently.
02:33And again, like I've tried to take a few paths with the hairdryer.
02:36I might, what I just might end up doing, though, is submerging in hot water.
02:39I say this, though, and again,
02:41I probably could have easily just heated this up with hot water,
02:43just played off like this figure had no issues whatsoever.
02:46But if you are picking this figure up for yourself,
02:48and really for that matter, any of the Fraggle Rock figures,
02:50because their joints are so thin like this,
02:52they're also relying on really thin pegs.
02:55Just be careful.
02:56You know, again, like I could have just easily heated this up and said,
02:58like, hey, everything's wrong.
02:59Everything's right with the figure's elbows and shoulders when it isn't really the case.
03:03So just take this as a precautionary tale.
03:06Heat these up first before you start to bend the elbows.
03:09That being said, though, let's go ahead and take, where was the Maracas?
03:11Maracas are right over here.
03:13The Maracas, yeah, do fit in her hands.
03:15She does also have some hand articulation, too,
03:17so you can easily twist those around.
03:19We'll do this on this side also as well.
03:20Now, it always kind of really seems to be the case that each Fraggle has given me issues.
03:26Well, that's not true.
03:27Fraggle Uncle Traveling Man gave me no issues whatsoever.
03:29But Red and Gobo seem to be problematic.
03:33Anyways, that's what she looks like, though, with the Maracas in her hands.
03:36She does also have a couple of other accessories that you might consider as well.
03:40Now, she does have some swappable hands.
03:41These hands really won't help all that much when it comes to her holding things.
03:44These are actually just more like relaxed or gestured hands.
03:48Again, you just easily can pop those out from the ends of her sleeves.
03:50The figure does also come in clear with a magnifying glass.
03:53I don't know how well it would really work as a magnifying glass.
03:57Can you actually even see the tiny little fibers?
03:59Oh, there's a little alien world down below there.
04:02Hello? Hello, alien world.
04:04Stop that.
04:05This does fit, obviously, in her hand.
04:07She does also come in clear with the inspector hat.
04:09I'm not so familiar with the inspector hat.
04:11It may have more to do with Back to the Rock, Fraggle Rock,
04:13obviously the remake series, not maybe the original series.
04:17She does also come in clear with the alternate head sculpt,
04:19which is a zanier look to red.
04:21You can see she's more...
04:22I mean, they all have like googly eyes,
04:24but these eyes actually look like they're a little bit more crooked.
04:27Let's spin this around so you guys can see it.
04:28Actually, for a second, though, before I started adding the hat,
04:31I thought that this was red like after she plunged herself into Fraggle Rock Pond.
04:35And, of course, she just came out a little bit dizzy.
04:38But no, actually, what you can do, she comes in clear with this inspector's hat.
04:42You'll notice already that there's holes on both sides.
04:45What you do with her is that you take the hair off.
04:48And she doesn't have, of course, the zanier hair like the defaulted head,
04:50but you basically just detach these like that.
04:54Take yourself the hat, and the hat will go on top of her head.
04:56Now, when you put it on her head, you'll have to make sure that you line up the holes.
04:59And you'll also see, too, that it just outlines, conforms the shape of the eyes.
05:04You basically just put it on like that.
05:05I know it's probably going to be a little harder then to line everything up
05:08because, of course, you have to put it through this hole,
05:09and then you also have to put it through this hole.
05:11I find it's easier, and the bows, by the way, face forward.
05:15So plug the hair in first, and then just sort of line everything up.
05:19Get a good at least idea of where everything's going to be going.
05:22And then plug the hair in place so that, again,
05:25you're not just trying to second-guess yourself.
05:27Was it supposed to be over there?
05:28Maybe it's not supposed to be over there.
05:30Once that one is in there, then it's a lot easier to take than the other one
05:33and plug it in the exact same way, just like that.
05:37So then she has this alternate head sculpt.
05:40I do like the look of this, although it still follows the trend
05:43that I generally will just be displaying the Fraggle Rock figures with their defaulted head.
05:47The secondary heads are fine.
05:48I just don't like them as much as the originals.
05:51I couldn't also help but notice...
05:52I'll make sure I got her hair all the way on there.
05:54I couldn't help but also notice...
05:56Maybe, you know what, I'll just take this off right now.
05:58This second head for red...
06:00Oh, I just realized I rhymed.
06:02Does have a line right here.
06:04It almost gives the idea that this should have some mouth articulation,
06:06but there's nothing at all you can move to it.
06:09The eyes also seem like they're loose.
06:12Almost as if they peg in place.
06:15I mean, I guess you could technically...
06:16Could you take off the eyes?
06:17I haven't even tried this yet.
06:18Could you take the eyes off of red here?
06:20No.
06:21No, they're not supposed to...
06:21They don't...
06:22They seem like I certainly would have to apply a little bit more pressure to do that.
06:25Let's just get the eyes back in place.
06:27It's probably just the way that it was assembled.
06:29But like, yeah, I don't know why it has to have a line right here.
06:32You would think, though, that this would all be one mold.
06:35And yet, though, I mean, again, the line kind of gives the suggestion
06:37that this would have been molded separately
06:39and then applied or adhered to the figure's face.
06:43Anyways, though, if you did want to change out the head,
06:46even though I really like this one, it's the better of the two.
06:48Let's take the maracas out of her hand as well.
06:50Put those on the side just to get them out of the way.
06:53Get them out of the way.
06:55And make sure the hand, the arm's all the way on there.
06:57Okay.
06:58So if you didn't want to change out the head,
06:59this, by the way, the defaulted head for red.
07:01Again, I'm rhyming.
07:03I don't know why.
07:03Like, see, there's no line at all for her mouth here.
07:06And yet, it's on the alternate.
07:07She does also have a whistle.
07:08The whistle actually sits just below her collar.
07:13You might find yourself actually fixing this a couple of times.
07:15This is a separate piece.
07:17The collar is also a separate piece.
07:18So when you detach this head sculpt,
07:20you'll find that actually these might come off a couple of times.
07:23So we'll just kind of detach the head.
07:24There we go.
07:26If you also, too, you want to just leave the whistle off,
07:28you could do that if you want to.
07:29I always kind of really think, like, red should have a whistle.
07:32And then you have to kind of line up.
07:35The first time you do this, you kind of,
07:36even now, I find myself, like, trying to figure out,
07:38is this the right way?
07:39Is this the right configuration?
07:40Basically, just do your best to put that in place.
07:42Then take the alternate head sculpt.
07:44And then just, I don't want to say put a lot of pressure.
07:47But you may have to put a little bit more pressure
07:49than what you're expecting.
07:51Heating this, again, seems to be the constant.
07:53You want to make sure that you're heating this properly enough
07:55so the head attaches properly in place.
07:57While I did go back to reheat the head,
07:59I also took the liberty of also adding the inspector hat
08:02and as well her pigtails.
08:03So you can see what red looks like with the alternate head sculpt.
08:06It's still a good-looking head,
08:08but it's nowhere near as good as the original one that we get.
08:11So it's still going to be, even though, following again that trend,
08:14going to be only just ultimately displaying the Fraggle Rock figures
08:16with their defaulted heads instead.
08:19For the figure's articulation,
08:20here again, when it's going to have a bit of an issue
08:22when it comes to, obviously, your elbows,
08:24red's head's going to be already on a ball joint,
08:26so the head rotates all the way around.
08:27It can look up, it can look down,
08:29it can also move back and forth.
08:30Periodically, though, you might find yourself,
08:32yeah, it's the pigtails.
08:34They don't almost seem like they want to be designed
08:36to fit properly into those holes.
08:38As you're kind of moving everything around,
08:40you're going to be finding the hairs fall off frequently.
08:42You may need to just constantly peg them back into place.
08:46Red's arms do rotate all the way around.
08:48I mean, if not really for the hair being in the way,
08:51I guess you could technically do a full 360 turn.
08:54And her arms come out at 90 degrees.
08:56Gobo, again, had that issue with his shoulder.
08:58Red doesn't seem to have it on her.
09:00But she does have the constant issue.
09:03Every time you want to try to bend the elbow,
09:05this peg always pops off.
09:07Once this review is done,
09:08I'm going to, I think, take this figure
09:10and submerge the arms fully in hot water
09:12and just let it sit for a while.
09:14See if I can soften up the joint
09:15because that joint is way too tight.
09:17Not enough for me on my own
09:19just to move it in this review
09:20straight out of the packaging.
09:21And again, if you get the figures for yourself,
09:24just kind of heat these up.
09:25You don't even have to submerge them in hot water.
09:27A hairdryer, a few passes might be more than enough.
09:30The figure's waist does swivel back and forth
09:32just a little bit, though.
09:34She does also have peg joints, I should say, on the legs.
09:37So you can move them forward and back and out.
09:39You can do a splits about that far with red.
09:41She does also have a knee bend.
09:43And the knees are a little on the tighter side,
09:45but at least I was able to get those to bend.
09:47The feet also hinge up and down.
09:49You can rock them back and forth.
09:50And like every other fraggle,
09:52if you look at the back of the body,
09:53she does also have a ball joint.
09:55So you can move the tail up, down,
09:56and of course back and forth as well.
09:59Red's a fun figure, but she's a fidgety figure.
10:02There's things always on this figure
10:03that seem to be falling off.
10:04I guess really if I had the figure
10:06always just displayed with what I feel to be
10:08the better of the two heads,
10:09I probably won't have any issues at all
10:11because I don't ever plan.
10:12I mean, this one isn't also designed
10:13to use the inspector hat.
10:15So it's not like you can take the pigtails off this one
10:17and use the inspector hat.
10:19Still, I wonder though,
10:20could I maybe swap the...
10:21I'm just going to leave it.
10:22I'm going to leave it
10:23because I don't want to have
10:23any other issues with the figure.
10:26Red's a nice looking figure,
10:27but like I said,
10:27there are a few things
10:28as I hopefully showed you guys in this review
10:30that as a precautionary tail,
10:32if you happen to pick up
10:33any of the fraggle figures from Boss Fight,
10:35not that they're QC issued related,
10:38but I mean, certainly being that they're,
10:39of course, they're small bodied figures
10:41and they're using very, very small joints.
10:43Things like popping off joints,
10:45popping off shoulders,
10:46popping off forearms
10:47might be an ongoing issue for you.
10:49Heat them definitely with hot water.
10:50Not that that really did solve the issue with Gobo.
10:53I still have that shoulder popping off way too much.
10:56Funny enough,
10:57Traveling Matt seems to be the one
10:58I had the least amount of issues with.
11:00It's also one of my favorite figures
11:01from the set as well.
11:02I still have yet to pick up the Doozers.
11:04I'm going to be eventually getting those also as well,
11:06both Cotterpin and The Architect.
11:09They're sold as a set.
11:10They're available also right now
11:11at Entertainment Earth,
11:12where I happen to pick up
11:13all the other three figures
11:14that we've looked at
11:15over the last several reviews.
11:16Red's a fun figure.
11:17Again, I don't have any real interest
11:19to have her displayed as the Inspector,
11:21when really the OG head
11:23is the best of the bunch.
11:24So we've seen three for three
11:25we're displaying Red Fraggle
11:26with her alternate head,
11:28and in all the three cases
11:29of Gobo, Traveling Matt,
11:30and now Red,
11:31I'm displaying it
11:32what I feel to be
11:33the least favorite head
11:34of the ones that are available.
11:36Red Fraggle, though,
11:37as the Inspector,
11:38I guess is interesting enough
11:39if you like that look to the character.
11:41And if anything could be said for it,
11:43it's not that they just literally
11:44took Red Fraggle's existing head
11:46and then just moved
11:46the placement of the eyes
11:47and just said,
11:48hey, there's an alternate
11:49head sculpt for you.
11:50This one very much is different
11:52than the original looked at Red.
11:53Not that it's my favorite,
11:54but at least I appreciate
11:55that Boss White Studio
11:56did something a little more extra
11:58than simply just giving her
11:59an alternate face
12:00that looks exactly the same.
12:02I've got her also displayed here
12:04with the magnifying glass
12:05in her hand.
12:06Both of these accessories
12:07as well as the hat
12:08are just ultimately
12:09going to be going back in the bag.
12:10Looking to display, though,
12:12Red on my shelf
12:12with the maracas in her hand,
12:14I think that's just
12:14a better look to the character.
12:16I like the look
12:16of all the Fraggles,
12:17and I certainly don't want
12:18to steer you guys away
12:19from getting these
12:20if you are big fans
12:21of Fraggle Rock yourself.
12:22As you've seen
12:23in all the three reviews,
12:24it hasn't been the case
12:26that anything has broken,
12:27anything has snapped.
12:28But with the kind of plastic
12:29that they're using
12:30and the very nature
12:31of that plastic
12:32with using very thin
12:33strand pegs like that,
12:35shoulders on Gobo,
12:37arms on Red,
12:38seem to be something
12:38that falls off frequently.
12:40And if anything could be,
12:41again, said,
12:41if you looked at my review
12:42of Uncle Traveling Matt,
12:44yeah, I had no issues
12:45really at all
12:45with that figure.
12:46So it could be the case
12:47that also just the ones
12:48that I got,
12:49I had more QC issues
12:50than maybe somebody else
12:51that got these
12:52for themselves.
12:53Speaking of giving them
12:54for yourselves,
12:54if you guys are looking
12:55to do that,
12:56these guys are available
12:57right now over
12:58on Entertainment Earth.
12:59Gobo,
13:00Traveling Matt,
13:01Red,
13:01and the two Doozers
13:02are available
13:03as of right now.
13:04Again, I can't speak
13:05for whether these
13:05will still be in stock
13:06at the time
13:07that this video goes online.
13:09But if you guys
13:09are interested,
13:10you can certainly
13:10use the affiliate links
13:11provided down below
13:12in the video description.
13:13Those same said
13:15affiliate links
13:16will also knock off
13:1710% on anything
13:18that's currently in stock
13:19at Entertainment Earth.
13:20Don't really fancy
13:21Fraggle Rock.
13:22It's okay.
13:23We can certainly
13:23still be friends.
13:24You can use, though,
13:25the affiliate link
13:25and use it instead
13:27for something
13:27that you're more interested in,
13:28as long as,
13:29like I said,
13:30it's currently in stock.
13:31If you guys did enjoy
13:32this video,
13:32do it a solid
13:33and throw it a like.
13:34You guys want to stick around
13:34for more, so?
13:35Yeah, I hope so.
13:37Hate to be, though,
13:37the bearer of the bad news.
13:38We're kind of wrapping up
13:39things when it comes
13:40to the world of Fraggle Rock,
13:41at least for now.
13:42But there will be more videos,
13:43though, coming your way.
13:44As always,
13:45thanks for watching.
13:46See you guys next time.
