00:11in some of the bigger cities and this is a another situation of that I guess she was just in a parking

00:32downtown around 11 a.m. in a public parking garage I think people are just they need money they're
00:38thinking it's an easy way to grab jewelry and then go ahead and sell it and then make some money out of
00:43it people who live and work in the area say crime is concerning Chris Lucas tells KCBS he works at a
00:49clothing store nearby when that's another reason too why we lock up so early it's because it gets
00:54bad around you know as soon as the sun's going down around five six seven yeah it just it gets bad
01:01police say the suspect in this incident made off with the woman's jewelry and cash even when I was
01:07in San Fran they were talking about actually like what's rampant there is those people just park
01:12beside people's cars then break the windows out and take anything that's in there so like if you
01:17have a computer or whatever people are leaving inside their cars right it looks like a bag is in
01:22there they just stop smash it and one of the uber guys was like oh yeah it's really bad he's like
01:27people don't even want to have a car here jewelry I don't know what you do with that well the thing
01:31is easy to get rid of rid of I feel like they they would be like hey the where'd you get off you're
01:37just a person with a bunch of jewels like you find some treasure every couple of days you keep getting
01:41new jewels yeah but you have to understand right like so there are some pawn shops that would be like
01:45no we're not going to take any possible stolen property but then there are the pawn shops that
01:50are like yes please give us the stolen pawn shop yeah exactly I'll give you money for it
01:56how am I to know you stole it exactly when my car was stolen there was flyers in it when they found
02:03it of cash for junk cars that they had taken because I think they were going to try and cash for junk my
02:09my car but you can't do that with a stolen car yeah you can't cash for junk a car that does not
02:14belong to you I was like bummer I wish that would have worked when they stole yeah drove that car for
02:2010 years yeah you got it back unfortunately sure did sure did when they stole it was it in bad shape
02:26like had they got up to no good in it yes it was like $9,500 it was $500 shy of being totaled
02:32because the airbags didn't go off and there was like there was a recall and the airbags didn't work so
02:37they smashed it like into a wall they like stood on the top of it like dented it the whole passenger
02:42side was decimated picture you kicking the hood trying to get these airbags to go off that morning
02:51when she called me because it was if it goes a month without them finding it it's a total loss
02:56you know even if they find it after that it's you know whatever yeah she just covers it and I was
03:00like just please don't call me and I was driving here like 9 30 in the morning and they were like
03:04jade we found your car I was like no no I mean yeah great no I had the saturn I made extra keys and
03:11sprinkled them all over the top of it handing them out yeah there's a car in the parking lot welcome to
03:17put a strobe light yeah sign that says these are the keys to this car yeah the car is open
03:24no that's too bad sometimes you do want it to go yeah they drove at 2 000 miles in two weeks
03:30um I'm pretty sure they were running drugs there was like baking soda and little baggies in there
03:35I'm like what something happened was there semen was there a lot of semen oh god no no I found I'm
03:41pretty sure I found the guy I did some investigation of my own yes I did investigating there was a
03:46sweatshirt in there for a local improvement company yeah and um they had gone to the movies
03:53he took his girl to the movies and signed up for like an amc rewards card and left the card in there
03:59so I searched the card number found the name called the improvement company damn why are women so good
04:05at this crap you can't do anything come on and then I called up there I didn't do this no no um because
04:12I was in I was in downtown Detroit so when I went up there and I was like look at all of my evidence
04:16look at what I've done they were like thank you you can leave now when you found the card did you
04:20say something cool like time for popcorn but I was like I couldn't believe after I found all these
04:29things that it was like falling into place that it was like this link to that that link to this and
04:33I called up to the company asked for the guy's name and they were like he's not here right now and I
04:37was like found him wow and then I got scared and I was like oh no that's right he does have my
04:44address yeah don't get killed right yep don't get killed oh wow that was me I was driving my mom's
04:53jeep I had to borrow her car and this was me just hauling ass down woodward to try and get to the
04:58police station these these exact sunglasses of this guy lips off no time for a matinee today fella
05:05oh man but what sucks is you lay it all out you have it solved and the cops are like go out for
05:17yourself we don't care bet you didn't even pay for snacks yeah son of a bitch though that sucks
05:27it was so dirty like they they didn't wash their hands for two weeks like the handprints that were
05:33like on the ceiling and I was like this is fine this is mine now oh handprints on the ceiling
05:38they definitely is even in there they were like black they were like black handprints though like
05:44how dirty were you like what were you doing filthy they were just playing in dirt
05:47crime stuff yeah they're like hey let's they're like roll up right to a sandbox
05:54let's go play in the sand they built a sandcastle let's go play in the sand
05:59I mean I don't know what are you doing yeah why were that so dirty criminals do
06:02yeah that's what they did like quick we stole this car I'm a chimney sweep
06:05we're covered in soot roll in the dirt then jump in it's not our car exactly
